As many of you are aware Several people are collecting pins for a "raffle" coming in March to earn money to help put DPF on another level. Well, at the same time I was asking people what they would like to see in games and markheardjr came up with the idea of having a March Madness game.
That got my head rollin and I thought... what if we combine the two! This is what I would like to propose. I would like to get 64 participants (yes I know there are more now in March Madness but for the sake of keeping this even we are going with 64) The price for admission is ONE donated pin for the purpose of raising money for DPF. You will need to IM me with what pin you will use. NOTE: We are going with up to 36 spots! We only need 32 for this to go and we now have that many! If you still want to participate you can join until there are 36 spots taken.
When your game comes up you will be put against another pin. Everyone will vote for which pin they like the best. The winner will move on in the bracketing and so on and so forth. It will not be stated whose pin is whose until the very end or you lose, whichever comes first. This is to stop popularity from being a factor in the voting process. Duplicates might show up so you will not even know if it is your pin or not in any given game. (a copy of whose pin is whose will be sent to a DPF moderator once I have all the participants and pin numbers) We will work our way through the bracketing until we have a winner. That winner will send in their pin and pick which ever 4 pins they want for winning (*the final 4... get it?) The remaining 60 pins will be donated to DPF to help get the money needed to do the site improvements.
I will send the pins onto Goofy_Moe so he can incorporate them into his game(s) for DPF. As each pin gets eliminated the person whose pin it was will be listed with the pin number so that everyone will see what is being donated. The pin for this game needs to be a decent pin that you would not mind receiving if you were to pay a $15 entry fee for a game. Remember people will be voting on who wins. No matter what the pin, remember, it will be donated to help DPF. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO KEEP YOUR OWN PIN. Lets see if we can get some pins for DPF and have some fun in the process! If you would like to participate please sign up here and send me an IM with the pin you will be using for the game. I will use a number scrambler to put the pin numbers in the brackets once I have all 64 slots filled! I will not look the numbers up while doing the bracketing so I will not know which pin is against which one until the voting process starts. We will run several "games" each day just like they do for March madness and you will be able to vote one time for each competition (game).
I AM OPENING THIS GAME UP SO THAT THOSE THAT WANT TO CAN ENTER MORE THAN ONCE. DPF NEEDS HELP LETS SHOW THEM HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE THIS SITE!
