As it turns out a ton of people got tickets from out of state and are trying to sell the BASE tickets for 1,500. Lots of people who got tickets are getting emails today allowing them to add pins to their order up to their allotted 2 per because many people just bought the tickets and nothing else.

Man. I don't know how I feel about that. I really hope to someday come across Maleficent, Hades, and Faciler for less than a kidney. But I somehow doubt that

Wow, really? But what about the people that bought their allotment? Do they get a chance to buy more?

Rofl seriously!!

It's probably cuz they posted the allowed name change thing, so it was a chance for ppl to just resell the tickets 

I guess so if people are trying to resell the tickets for $1500?! I mean, who would be crazy enough to buy it for that and not get any pins with it?

Teresa posted a few days ago that they have always allowed one name change, but they got so many questions about that over the weekend that they posted up for clarification. So I guess it wasn't changing the rules persay, but letting people know about a rule that people didn't know about. *shrug*

Yes, people who bought pins on Monday during registration should be able to buy additional pins during the re-release on a first-come, first-served basis. It's how I was able to get second set of marquees during the Animation Celebration event last year.

$1500 for just the entrance ticket without pins is robbery. I sincerely hope that no one is that desperate to go that they pay that.

I didn't think the value was in the event, but in the pins... How bizarre. These event have average food, more than half the time the boards are picked over. The value is what you make it... Fun and trading. If this is true it's just so sad.

Note: Everyone who is registered for a DSSH event will get the email saying they are allowed to buy leftover pins. This is for only those who already have a ticket to that specific event. It could be that there is just one jumbo pin left and no dark tales at all... or maybe a few marquees... who knows. Anyway, this email is standard for every DSSH trading event. They always let the registered guests buy what ever was not sold during the registration. For the BatB event in March, I am pretty sure the pins did not sell out before the link for extra pins became inactive. I wonder if the boards will be covered with unwanted BatB pins at this event. Haha

If you think about releases where 1000 people show up for 300 pins. People who pulled number 315 (for example) still may be able to buy all the pin, because there are always some people who don't buy them all for whatever reason. This email and web link is just more of the same thing.

So when the link becomes active for the extra Dark Tale pins those with the link need to be ready. The leftovers will not last more than a few seconds.

I actually wonder if there will be Pixar event pins or Love is an Adventure pins. I read that there were still Pixar event pins at this year's WDW event.

What Carissa/Romancing_Train said was different than what the normal email from DSSH says. Her post said that people who only bought tickets got an email allowing them to add pins up to their original allotment of two. If that's the case and they get to purchase it before the leftovers become available to the other ticketed guests, then there might be more leftovers than we all thought? Again, that's assuming that they don't purchase their full allotment prior to the rest becoming available.

Anyhow, good luck to all who are trying for extras.

If that's true, that's pretty messed up. That means that people who only bought the ticket to save time or to try and flip the ticket on the cheap had a few extra days to come up with the money for the pin sets, whereas people who played by the rules and added the pins during their initial registration had to pony up everything at once. If you didn't bother to buy the pins during the initial registration, you should have to wait and try to buy whatever's left during the second chance sale.

Yeah, I think the odds of being able to get any extra pins tomorrow will be very low. Still worth a try though! I think the exception might be the jumbo pin - suspect they still will have some of those left, though I can't decide if they are worth it.

Yeah, I want to see if someone has a snapshot of this email from DSSH (not the one that you can buy leftovers, but the one to the people that said they could buy their allotment).

This was exactly what I was trying to say as a friend of mine...or a person I know in a shared chat lol....she only ordered one set of each thing and she had gotten an email allowing her to grab a spare set before they shared it to more people.

According to the facebook post a few minutes ago everything is now sold out.

Are you joking or were there really BatB pins in the link? If so, that's kinda funny. I assume these are the BatB pins from the March 2017 event?

Not joking. I saw screenshots of people who at least made it into the screen to pick pins. It mentioned the BATB pins from the March 2017 event in the heading, but then when you went to look at the list of pins, it said Dark Tales #1 with the listing of the movie name (not the character).

Here's a screenshot from FB:
