Hi everyone! I was lurking on this forum for quite a while, just watching everyone's great collections. And now that I was finally able to get some pins of my own, I decided that it's time to properly introduce myself. : )

I always loved Disney, but didn't know about the pins until not long ago. Even so, I didn't get the appeal at first, but that's because I only saw photos of them. Then I watched some pin videos and I fell in love with how they look in real life. I started to search for them on different sites and that's how I discovered this forum.

I also have a pinpics account now, with the same username as here - Papaya.

Some of my favorite Disney characters are Donald Duck (I love the Disney ducks comics from Europe!), Goofy, obviously Pocahontas and Aurora, but also Tiana, Rapunzel, Mike Wazowski and Captain Hook.

I never had the chance to visit any Disney park, but here's to hoping I can realize this dream of mine in the future. I'd really love to visit both the Disneyland Paris and the Walt Disney World in Florida.

I guess that would be all. I also gotta say that reading through this forum, I really liked how friendly everyone is! This place just seems so inviting. : ) So yeah, thanks for the great time I had looking through your posts; hopefully I'll be able to contribute a little too!

Welcome! I'd love to go to Poland someday as well. My father's side of the family is from there.
That's awesome! Btw, I like how so many of you guys in the US often have roots in other countries. Must be lovely to have a large heritage. : )

Hi Dee ho, Papaya! Welcome to DPF. As for visiting parks I think you’re a little bit closer to Paris than Orlando but Orlando has better food at the Disney parks. LOL. I hope you get to come see us here in Florida soon. cheers!

Thank you! And yes, that's true about DLP being closer. However, I have a dear friend who lives near WDW, so my dream is to go visit them and go to the park together. :)

Hiya Papaya! ;)

I haven't visited WDW, but I recently visited Tokyo DisneySea for the first time, and it was SUCH a blast. I want to visit all the parks. Someday... <3

Hey ! ^^ I came to look at your introduction ;)

Your favorite princesses are quite different surprisingly, but they're both wonderful ^^

I would also love to go to Poland :D it's not so so far from where I live :p ;) And I must say though I don't understand a single word in polish, I like listening to Disney songs in polish ^^

I hope you'll be able to visit Disneyland and Disney world soon :)

Oh my gosh, I bet it was! From what I was able to see, Tokyo Disney Sea looks fantastic! They always have really unique and gorgeous merch, too.

That's true, you can visit! And speaking of Disney songs, I gotta say that the European French dubbing of "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" is my absolutely favorite out of all versions. :D

Cześć! Welcome to the forums!

My best friend is first generation Polish American (he doesn't pin trade, though). :) I visited Poland for a week back in 2000 with him and his family (Warsaw, Kraków, and Łódź...I'm sure one or two other cities/towns but I don't remember offhand. Maybe Częstochowa?). It was a very lovely country to visit! It would be nice to go back as an adult sometime, too.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

That's great to hear! Personally, I recommend the cities of Cracow, Zakopane and Gdańsk. : )

I don't, since I only have one trader by now and I thought it's mainly for trades, right?

Actually, pinpics can also help you keep track of what pins you do have, even if it's not a lot. I have pins in a theme (playing cards) that I'm collecting, but haven't yet put into a display. I found a pin I THOUGHT I didn't have yet, but I was able to check on pinpics (wasn't at home) and see that I did indeed have it, so didn't make the trade. A small victory, I suppose. Also, if you end up doing our Secret Santa exchanges in the future, people can look at your collection to see what you already have...I have done that every year so far, checked out my Santa's pinpics, both to get ideas and to make sure I'm not getting them a double.

Cześć! That's awesome! Częstochowa is the city in which the well-known Jasna Gora Monastery is located, if it helps you remember. Personally, I still have yet to visit Łódź, so you're ahead of me on that one! :D

Ohh, I see! That does sound pretty useful, especially for things like the Secret Santa event you described. Thanks for explanation! I'll look into it.
But I indulged in their many-flavored popcorns every time I passed by a cart. White chocolate popcorn was heavenly!
It's a good thing I don't like even regular popcorn then lol. :p I still wonder how a white chocolate popcorn is supposed to taste though! Seems like a typical Japanese weird flavor combination.
