WDW August Pin Event - Animation Celebration
I went to the previous two events - Pixar Party and Love is an Adventure. The boards were all any authentic Disney pin for a pin in the board. You were able to make two trades at a board per tab. I felt that LiaA had better pins as I liked them more. Also, it depends where you are in line when they change out a board.

I actually thought I got better pins on the second day. My best trade (LE wise) was the last trade of the second day from a board that had been out for awhile. I pulled two of the It's a Small World frame set AP pins. It's all chance.

I paid for my niece (8) and nephew (10) to trade at the event. They had a blast. The cast members were super sweet to my niece. My nephew liked the bigger boards. One cast member helped my niece find pins by asking her what she liked. She pulled the Rapunzel throne chaser at a board so she started the throne collection while there as she pulled several. My niece said it was a little overwhelming but she liked it. (I just asked her). The only thing she didn't like was she couldn't sit on the floor in the long lines.

Bring a something that can carry your pins and double as a chair.

To add on the comment above- bringing a chair idea is such a good idea. I purchased a zucca bag after the last pin event. Disney does have some bag restrictions so check those when the rules get released. But last year no sitting on the floor was allowed. My legs were hurting cause of all the standing. So a bag you can sit on is super ideal.

No sitting on the floor?! Ugh! (It's been several years since I've gone to an event but I don't understand that rule at all - especially since the lines are so long!)

Agreed... All I have... sitting takes up more space than standing and lengthens the line. At LIAA there was conflict with traffic flows for one/two of the board lines. The lines kept extending blocking the moving foot traffic. Seems like they could change the line direction/layout to improve flow. For example they put the big board line (which always was the longest) nearest registration where the space is narrowest. Not the best planning.

Not only takes up more space, but it takes more time since the people in line would constantly be sitting down and standing up as the line moved. It's only seconds per person but when 30-50+ people are all doing it it can really add up, which means fewer people can get through the line.

I was going to go. But the only pin I like is the Maleficent one. o_O.

Not sure what to do now.

How do the mystery sets work? One of them is my all-time favorite short. How tricky is it to get a specific one?
Depends on your luck as to what's in the box, which run $19.99 for two pins. In addition, they also have LE chaser pins that everyone goes nuts for at the event.

So like regular parks mystery boxes. At least then I know what I'm dealing with. Now I just need someone to sponsor. Thanks!

I’m sort of confused about the film street pins. Is it sort of like piece of film pins? You hold it up to a light then can see the picture?

Ok. Who registered?

I have my ticket.

Debating if perhaps I should do pickups for the RSPs on pins I’m not interested in.
