2018 Pin Releases
Okay guys. Game faces. We are 15 minutes out for the DSF Postcard release!!

I ask you, my fellow DPFers, to join me in the At-Cost Coalition!! As a member of ACC, your task is simple. If you can get into the selection window and choose pins, I ask that you buy ALL of the postcards if you are able!! These are all incredible pins, and we've got a ton of members on here who will be happy to pay you cost + a surcharge + shipping (from dsf and from you).

The goal of ACC is to get these pins in the hands of people who want them, will love them, and who shouldn't have to pay scalped prices just because they weren't as lucky to get into the website at the right time.

If you wish to join ACC, I will give you this solemn promise that it will NOT cost you ANYTHING beyond some time, sanity, and a little luck. Meaning, if you get stuck with one or more of the postcards (not the Nesting Dolls...) and no one will buy it from you At-Cost, I will buy it from you At-Cost and pass it along to someone who needs it.

The intention of this is not to make a buck OR snag a pin from someone at cost and then flip it (for shaaaaaame....). Let's all try and help each other! We're a family, and that means no one gets left behind...or overcharged. <3

Any I get are going to be available for trade, so not even and $s needed. Maybe a pin auction. But that's it.

BUT, I'm still not seeing any details/link posted. Usually it would be up by now, wouldn't it? Getting very nervous.

Except, we do. I appreciate the sentiment, I really do. But here's the thing. If I get through, I want to use the pins I'm not keeping as traders. Why? Because no one ever offers to get me WDI or DSSH pins at cost. No one ever "has my back." No one ever tags me in things I collect and then the DPF DSSH team works to get the pins so my collections stay manageable. So the one time I might potentially have something "good," there is pressure to provide for the community? What message does that send to the people like me stuck in the middle of the country with no one feeding them connections to the good pins? You are screwed both ways. You have to overpay or go without for what you can't get because "the market dictates"...when you can get, you need to overlook "the market" because community.

Again, I appreciate the sentiment. I am mainly posting, because pin communities do get clucky (and cliquey) and I don't want shame to be directed toward people who get pins they don't intend to keep, to try and get what something they don't have "because they aren't lucky enough to live in SoCal" INSTEAD of offering to the community.

There is zero wrong with wanting to keep them as traders. ;P I encourage it! But for those who don't want to, or can't afford extras, this was an option. That's all I meant. :)

I know, :) but I also know how much pin anxiety can breed bad blood, and we need to "keep focused on the real enemy."

Mute point, at this rate....spin, spin, spin...capacity.

A note about the DSF online release - when you first click the link, there will be a page to put in your name and email. If you are accessing that page for the first time, DO NOT FILL IN THOSE BOXES. Click the "I understand" box and then click continue. Those boxes are only for if you've made it partway through the order process and had to leave the page before finishing your order.

Yeah, this really confused the crap out of me the first few times I did one.

I've never done one of these before but the impression I'm getting is that its not normally stuck loading like this?

Correct, usually you'll see on FB comments that at least SOME ppl got in, but NO ONE is saying they got in.. except for some ppl who say it's sold out.. I doubt it though. I think they're just trying to get ppl to give up so they get a better chance.

Yeah, this is what's weird. No one with a confirmed transaction yet. Usually, someone on Facebook gets through. So keep waiting.

Someone said that there 8600 people checking DSSH's page at 9AM. And we probably all have multiple browsers trying to connect.

Which goes to show how much LE300s are stupid. Disney never leaves money on the table, except when it comes to pins. #realenemy. But DSSH doesn't want to get stuck holding the bag when they have pin releases with ugly pins like the Star Wars online releases and they don't sell.

I don't understand why they don't just put everyone's name that wants to order within 10 minutes of them releasing them in a RNG and selling them that way. It's basically how they do it for their in person releases. It would be much more controlled and it's a more quality interaction.

Collector's Log:

Release Date: 9th of July, in the two-thousandth and eighteenth year of our Walt.

For twenty-six minutes we have been storming the walls. But it swirls and swirls mockingly, maddeningly. I'm not sure how much longer the morale will keep. Perhaps...dreaming was not enough this time....

I am having flashbacks to that doll release that took like an hour and a half or two hours to come up. It has actually happened more than once, but specifically Fawn, I think.
