As I have in several years prior, I am participating in the CHOC Walk, a Disneyland-sponsored fundraiser to raise money for Children's Hospital Orange County. I always feel weird just straight up asking people for money, so I'm selling pins to raise the funds. How it works is that you donate the price of the pin directly to my fundraising page, and then pm me your address (and the name you donated under if not using your real name). That way you know for sure that 100% of your money is going to the charity, and you also get the tax benefit from your donation.

I will cover the price of shipping the pin(s) to you, so no need to paypal me anything on top of the donation. However, because I am paying for shipping, unfortunately I have to limit this sale to US addresses only.

Thanks!

My goal this year is $150. This sale will remain open until I hit that goal.

Right now this is what I have available; I may add more later (including more lower priced pins) if I am unable to hit my goal in the next week or so.

OOH fun! I wanna do CHOC one year. All the Cali CMs get to bid on cool memorabilia and experiences for the auction, and I'm sitting over here like "WDW needs to get their stuff together." Good luck on the "sale."

I love this fundraiser and the walk. I did it a few years ago and then got hurt. I wanted to do it this but time got away from me. Great job Tessa... I hope you exceed your goal.

Thanks! I'm excited because I'll actually be able to do the walk in person this year. I usually have other plans on the same day and just do the fundraising.

Good stuff. Hope you have a good time. I tried to get a DPF group to walk but didn't get much interest. I think it would take giving away some cool pins or making some kind of pin game. Unfortunately people do not all get motivated just for the fact of helping kids. It's not to late to print shirts or do a team to if anyone wants to.. My thought was it sure would be a cool way to show Disney that we are not all just about buying and selling pins. Best of luck to you. And as always... Have fun!

Wow, you guys are awesome! With the pins that have been requested, it looks like I have already hit my goal! So for now, additional sales are on hold; if I decide to up my goal or some of the above requests don't go through I will reopen.

Buzz PTD for me please.....

PM coming!

Hi, I would like the Loungefly/BoxLunch Aristocats set please. :)

PM coming!

I'm l donating to you thru site or directly to them?

The link I sent is my personal fundraising page on the official CHOC website, and the money you send goes to them. I'll get credit for raising money for them (and whatever event fundraising prizes I earn for raising a certain amount of money), but I don't get any of the money myself. It all goes to CHOC.

If there are other DPF members who are walking, I'm happy to join up and walk together! :3

Wait. So you are basically donating all those pins to the walk. That's way cool. So my thought was something like that and each person is still responsible for the 75 dollars or whatever the basic donation to walk is. Last time some people asked what if they do not make enough. My thought was others do better than sum at raising money and could push some to other team members so everyone gets to walk in the parks.

But what you are doing is very cool. It is very nice of you to help out in this way. Good luck and hope you make all the money from the pin sells you posted. Keep up the good work.

Yep. The money goes to CHOC and the pins go to the donators, so it's like I'm donating the pins. I've done this the past few years; I like it more than just putting up a donation link. But that's also why I limit the sale to a certain dollar amount.

So will you sell or donate all these pins or just stop at your number? Both are cool, just wondering. I have been fundraising my whole life and have no problem finding donations of all kinds. The trick is getting other people to participate and than to help out a little. Like I said some will always do better but as a team it all works out. What is the minimum donation to walk this year. I think it was $75 the year I tried to start a DPF team.

For now, just until I hit my number (which I already did, at least with requests and already-made donations combined), but I may decide to open it back up for sales in a bit.

It looks like the minimum this year is $85. At least, it is for the Disneyland Annual Passholder team.
