I waited on hold with PayPal for over an hour...unfortunately, only my most recent purchase is within that 180 day mark! I really cannot believe that I let this escalate for so long. I need sleep now, but I have to seriously figure out what I’m going to do.

I’m not sure, because I had a PayPal balance (I think) and (I think) that’s where the money came from. So, I don’t think a credit card was ever involved. I think if I didn’t have enough funds (which I’m usually really careful about and have been trying to figure out where all my pin money had gone, because now it is completely gone) it actually will pull money from my dads bank account, not a credit card. So, I don’t think a credit card company can help? Let me know if you know anything different!

I feel ill. I did something I should have done a LONG time ago. I actually went to my PayPal account and looked at the records.
Please note, these are just the payments made directly to “Lansam, Inc” and do not include ANY of the additional money I spent in person at the event last August or at the local Pin Master on “coins” to trade for the pins or for the LE 200 pins just directly for sale by them “on the secondary market.”
My total??? It’s horrifying, especially considering what I have to show for it...$4,556.79
I will NEVER get that back, I would have done MUCH better buying pins here on DPF. Somehow, I thought I was getting in on the ground floor of something, some ppl can be just so persuasive in person....just call me gullible I guess.
If I ever get all these pins, ya’ll let me know if you need them!

Wait, are they not honoring refunds? They're making us go through our credit card companies? I was going to tag @Pinopolis Ambassador to ask why I still haven't received the refund I requested like over 2 months ago (I never even received an e-mail response acknowledging that I sent the request - not even an automated reply), but if they're just keeping our money I guess it's pointless...

I'm pretty sure at this point their business practices could be considered an infringement of consumer rights, with products that were paid for in full nearly a year ago still not shipped; I know that one right is for pre-purchased products/services to be fulfilled within a reasonable amount of time, although I'm not sure what legally constitutes "reasonable." But I paid for my order last October - actually, maybe September. It's been so long I can't even remember. That definitely seems illegal. Another one is the right to be informed, and we've definitely been deliberately misinformed about the timelines of these pin releases, as well as the reasons for delays. I was looking through the (very few and sporadic) e-mail updates they've sent since I placed my order, and in December they said that the samples for the Dreamers (my order) had been approved and they were in full production. But then in May, when the pins still hadn't been shipped, their explanation was that Disney had not approved them. The December e-mail also said the Diva Villains samples had been approved, but then they completely cancelled that series later with the excuse that they couldn't get approval. Meanwhile, they were actually selling Diva pins to people in-person at an event, which seemed like a pretty big "screw you" to the customers who had already paid for those pins months ago.
 
I do have to clarify however that @Pinopolis Ambassador only joined the forum because I complained on one of their FB posts; she messaged me privately to address the issue and was extremely polite and apologetic. I mentioned this forum and our collective complaints, and without asking her to actually come here, she took the initiative to join. She also told me that she simply handles the customer service and is not actually involved in the production/shipping/business side of things. @Pinopolis Ambassador I hope you don't take my grievances as a personal insult, I don't blame you at all for this mess and I appreciate you taking the time to address our concerns directly on here. I hope you can also understand our frustration though, and don't hold it against us for posting such exasperated comments. <3

Ask for one and then check with your bank and dads bank. You should be able to check PayPal to see how the item was funded.

I use a credit card when I pay unless it's someone I trust like @starry_solo . Then I ask to meet up in person since we are only 30 miles apart.

Does anyone actually have or want these? The only one that looks “cute” to me is the Stitch because it’s the only one that’s a little different, and I don’t even collect Stitch. I made the choice not to go today...

I agree, they look like generic rack pins. If I saw these in someone's trade book I would never guess they were actually limited edition or even special for that matter.

I do want the Ariel because I don't have a nice cut out full body of her in the pink dress. I will pass on the Tiana and Belle because the poses and dresses are so similar to current park pins. If they did a Tiana in her yellow waitress dress or Belle in her green library dress, if try to trade or purchase them.

I think Ariel and Stitch may be the two most popular in this set of four.

I have spent over $5,000 in anticated goods and services from this company. My first purchase was in July of 2017 after meeting the owner of the company and being told many amazing and great things to anticipate. He is a very charasmatic and believeable, I was given many promises that were not kept and what I was told has been changing since day 1. As of today, I am still completely missing thousands of dollars of promised merchandise, some of which was ordered as early as August of 2017, the “perks” I was promised as a “member” never showed up and I was denied picking up my special purchase items, when the few items that I have received were shipped, the collectible boxes arrived badly broken due to careless packaging. I am currently short at least 103 items from them (I believe there are a number more, I just haven’t kept great track, I should have done better). This does not include the items that they have told me they canceled I’ve been given all kinds of various info on when they will be ready. I know other people who have already received their items, and I still am waiting months laters. This is not how you treat your customers. I also keep getting changing information on their new trading program, causing me to spend significant money on overpriced valueless “coins” to trade for their pins and now they have done a bait and switch! You can just buy the pins. I spent hundreds on those “coins” for nothing and they cost more than the pins do. Also, the pre order price for the pins was higher than the final market price is now and I was promised limited 100 variations, which turned out to not actually be variations at all, just different metals...I feel scammed and played.

Well... it’s unfortunate how this opportunity to partner with Disney to create licensed product has been handled. Really dampens the fun around collecting... and I feel horrible for anyone that got in on the ground floor and made a bunch of purchases that they haven’t received yet.

(But as a collector of full-body princess pins, let me know if you have pink dress Ariel or Tiana for sale ;))

Perhaps maybe contacting the company for a refund might be your first step. I would think canceling your order first and getting a refund would be in your own best interest. The problem might be as simple as they might have just bitten off more than they can chew and need to make better solid business decisions. Granted, it is very frustrating but if they are forced to stop producing their pins, the orders may never be filled.

Additionally, It would be best for Pinopolis to concentrate on producing and selling their pins as a priority first and get them to their customers as quickly as possible. It is important for them to develop a loyal following of customers first . I think they have some good innovative ideas that could be fun and interesting but decisions in implementing them are done quickly and without much thought. They appear to be trying to duplicate Disney in some of their ideas and events. IMHO, it would be smarter to take it a little slower and introduce new programs slowly that are well thought out, efficient and fun. Their first and foremost priority should be to concentrate on getting the pins out to their customers as quickly as possible. The rest will follow.

I would like to state for the record that after posting about my concern earlier in this thread (I received the wrong Cinderella LE 100) she responded via PM promptly, politely and apologetically, but I requested that she send me a prepaid return label instead of asking me to pay return shipping myself (please note, for their error) and being refunded that later...I haven’t heard back since. I would rather keep the wrong pin than end up with nothing or paying an extra $17 in shipping should it not be refunded (what I was quoted by USPS to return it in the box it came in). I too have given this company a lot of money and a lot of chances and I am just really disappointed.

ETA: I last spoke to them on July 25th.

@Pinopolis Ambassador : please use this thread to only update people on the pins that they have purchased. Do not use this thread to advertise new pins for sale or their prices. If you want to advertise pins for sale, use the Pins for Sale/Wanted portion of the forum. These should only be used for pins that have been released or for which a RSP (like Disney) is offered, guaranteed, and delivered within 2 months of the post. While we do allow pre-sales in that section of the forum, we only allow them to occur via PayPal goods. Delivery should always occur within the time frame that PayPal allows disputes to occur (which is typically 180 days). However, based upon the past practices of Pinopolis, the admin/moderators are decreasing the time limit to be in line with what Disney's RSP process is, which is approximately 2 months.

Please contact @dancecats or myself @starry_solo if you have any questions regarding this.
 
I also wanted to add that the direction the company was heading in the availability of their pins for the general public was a better direction than the idea of exclusivity. While limiting the access of their pins to try and remain exclusive seems appealing, it only increases their chances that they will not sell out the pins at these events. It appears that Pinopolis will then change their rules and availability in order to sell the remaining pins that are leftover. This leaves those who have listened, believed and obeyed the rules disgruntled and suspicious of their motives. They should just try to stick to selling their pins and plan any future events methodically. In advertising for their events, they should include a disclaimer saying any extra available pins would be sold on their website or at a different venue. It would be in the best interest of all if they did.

As a long time collector, I have seen Disney Auctions and Disney Shopping pins come and go. Pin Collectors complained constantly if they were unable to get new releases. This may have been part of the reason that Disney decided it was no longer worth it. It is also similar to the PTD's or pin releases at DSSH where the availability of the pins are so limited. Unfortunately, as long as Disney remains as popular as it is, this will always be the case. Personally, I like the Pinopolis merchandise and would like to see them continue. But it would be smart and helpful if they realized that they could alienate their loyal customers by making changes after they have already set up their rules.
