Hi Ive been after a tangled podm for years now but its hard to ascertain what sort of price I should be paying
I see them mostly going in trades rather than sales but I dont really own any valuable traders. Whats my best bet to acquire one?

Thanks in advance :)
Niamh

My method is to obtain good/popular traders at cost... Good traders have allowed me to obtain three of the PODM. (Although I collect Mickey, so my PODM are not as hard to obtain as a Tangled one, but wanting a popular movie still does not make it impossible.)

I did buy one PODM from a seller on this forum (Fantasia). I paid $60 which is more than I usually would ever pay for a pin, but $60 seemed like a good price and even in hide sight I do not regret that $60 purchase.

Another PODM was obtained through a forum game... which was pure luck.

Keep your eyes out and hopefully you will obtain your pin. :)

I also have very few valuable traders. Something I do is set an eBay search for auctions only. Sometimes you get really lucky when no one else really notices it in time and I'm not tempted by the much higher Buy It Now prices.

You're picking probably the most iconic scene from the most popular podm. Expect to spend 3 figures IMO.

I got a boat scene PODM for $80 a couple years ago but it's of Flynn with the back of Rapunzel's head - hence the lower price.
Check the sold listings on ebay to see what scenes are selling for and just keep watching for ebay auctions.

I agree with what @katelouise said in regards to finding out the 'current' selling price of a given pin. I would check eBay's sold listings, discard the highest (desperate buyers) and lowest (poorly listed/timed auctions), and use the middle as your average price range (when applicable, I don't know how many PoDMs currently are listed). From there, you just have to keep watching for eBay auctions - and cross your fingers and hope you win.
