Well, at least I can get the little mermaid hand game one while I’m up there on the 10th. Going to have to maybe get a second one to maybe trade for that Aurora window. Sigh. Pretty window.

While I'm safe from parks in January, I can't even relax because DSSH is trying to break me with the Wonderland release and then the Cheshire kitty release back to back. :/

Right, that makes sense. I was just wondering if the gifts are usually pins, or if they're typically something else.

No the gifts have usually kinda crap, last year’s gift left me salty. This is a nice change, but dunno if I’ll renew since I still don’t need any for my collection... hmm

You may want to rethink that idea. The Little Mermaid is LE 4000 AND also available in DLR. The Aurora Window is LE 2000 and only at DLR.

More experienced pin people, please lend me your wisdom! If I were to go to Downtown Disney after work (like 7 pm ish) on the release date would I have any chance of picking up the Aurora window?

I'm willing to pay over retail on the aftermarket, but I live close enough that if it was there after work (or maybe even before if I took a few hours vacation time) I'd like to get it direct from Disney. I don't have an AP though, so it would have to be Downtown Disney for me.

I feel like most Disneyland releases sell out very quickly - especially when it comes to the princesses (and then on top of that it's another Window pin).
You could try, but you probably shouldn't get your hopes up too much.
You can usually check on the FB groups and things and people will mention if they're sold out.

Can definitely confirm.

There will be a shared monthly release (Kingdom Consoles), and then a Bi-monthly alternating release (I Heart Gaming) which will be the handheld looking pins.

For the Bi-monthly alternating release, would this mean there are a total of 12 variations in the set? Or is there only 6 pins and WDW would just get the Lion King pin in February? I hope for the latter, for my wallet's sake!

I'm pretty sure there will be 12, 6 at each park. The Aladdin one will be coming out at WDW in February. :)

I just realized that the mouse party pins are different for each park. That’s a pretty neat way of doing it. Almost forces trading.

I don’t need any, let alone 18...

Unless you're there at park open, don't expect to get this pin at the park. And Downtown Disney will likely be the most crowded location as that's where everyone who doesn't have a pass will go. So if you can go before work (and have time to wait in the line), that's your safest bet.

While the past few Windows of Evil have lasted as much as a day or two (the Queen of Hearts sold out Friday, while Kaa and the Horned King lasted a few days each due to lack of popularity of the characters and the series slowing down), this is going to be a hot series, plus a popular character and I would expect it to be sold out within an hour or two of park open. I could be wrong, but that's my expectation, so my recommendation is if you can go first thing, that's your best chance at retail if this one is a high priority for you.

Windows of evil (Villains) in 2018,
Windows of Magic (princesses, heroines) in 2019,
So it would be Windows of heroes in 2020?

Thank you for the info. I'll need to do this one on the aftermarket then. Hopefully if I keep an eye out right when they all hit eBay I can get one for not too crazy a price. I also want the Ariel/Eric Valentine pin, so I'll probably try and hit DTD later for that one at least.

Thank you for the info. I'll be stalking online sales for this one :)

I like those designs a lot. If I'm able to get some I'm going to need to be doing some trading.

First post of this thread has a photo of Dumbo pop up book. The Peter Pan one shall be similar, a typical hinge pin.

I’m curious to see what’s inside the Peter Pan pin, myself. Anyone have any ideas? :)

I also plan to do some trading of the mouse party pins.
