The past few years I've wanted to attend this Mickey's of Glendale pop-up event at WDW... but it's never worked out for me to do so. This year is looking like it could happen. However, I obviously missed getting tickets to the Winnie the Pooh event (which I guess sold out in 4 minutes). So I won't be able to enter until 5:00 that day, and they don't allow you to line up until 4:00. My question is this... will all the good pins be gone already before I even have a chance at them? Or will I still be able to get a good deal of WDI LE pins even though I won't get in with the early group?

I really want to get a bunch of pins, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the membership fee to go to the event. I'd probably take my wife and kids... but I assume they will only allow one purchase per membership, right? Do we have any idea what pins will be released? Thanks for any info you can provide!

No idea of what pins they would sell there. Leftovers from D23, etc., but then they usually debut a new set. Like the dancing princesses and the floral fan series were at the pop-up shops.

Usually it's one per gold member, even if you have a gold family membership (the family membership just allows you to bring up to 3 guests, whereas regular gold allows only 1 guest). So, if you think you are going to want to get two of everything, you'll probably need to spring for two gold memberships.

I don't know what pins they will release at the Pop-Up shop, but last year's Destination D event shop had the release of WDI 25th anniversary BatB pin. Maybe they will release the WDI Aladdin 25th anniversary pin there?

I don't know if the movie tickets can transfer, but if anyone bought one and can't go, I'd love to. My D23 renewal didn't come in the mail fast enough for me to try for the tickets (plus...moving). Just PM me if you can/want to do this...

Same. If anyone has an extra ticket, let me know. Can trade or buy. Thanks :)

Didn't most people that bought the movie ticket do so in order to get into the store earlier than people that don't have a ticket?

I would assume so? I think this is the first time that we have earlier entry. Last movie, they were allowed to purchase a separate set of pins instead, as their bonus. So the "not knowing" if any pins will be left over is definitely driving some uncertainty here (as OP has demonstrated).

I guess, at this point, we don't even know how big the theater they selected is. I *assume* it's one of the small ones, but that could still be well over 100 people...

Do they do all these d23 events in FL in November every year?

No, D23 usually has their Sip and Stroll event in Epcot during October and a holiday event during December. The WDI popup store has been tied to a movie anniversary event the past two years, with last year being in the spring. D23 does stage its two-day Destination D event in November during even-numbered years at the Contemporary Resort. There has also been a WDI popup store at that event.

After the shenanigans they pulled with the LE15 Pixar framed set at D23, I'm sort of afraid of what these pins are going to be. But I'm excited for those of you who are going!

The 2018 D23 Destination D has already been announced for November 2018 at the Contemporary Resort and is being themed to celebrate Mickey Mouse. I wonder if the 2017 WDI popup store will have pins for Mickey's birthday as well as the Winnie the Pooh anniversary. Could there be a countdown series toward Mickey's 90th birthday?

Or that Aladdin Anniversary pin...................

Got into the Pooh movie thing solely to get into the MOG store early (I don't even like Winnie the Pooh)lol!! We have been at the MOG store in WDW many times in the past on regular entry status and its usually a zoo! 2 1/2 hours in line to get into the store, 20 minutes shopping, 2 hours to checkout! BUT you can pick up some great Traders and being an East coast Trader we do not have many opportunities to get LE's to match DSSH/WDI from the West Coast.

We went to Pinocchio two years ago when they had the Gold Framed Princesses. If you went to the movie you got in early just like this time. If I remember correctly most people that did not attend the movie still got pins. It seams to get bigger each time thought, but I got out of line the first day at D23 because I did not think we would get in and my friends that stayed in line got all the pins.

I think they may have a Mickey birthday pin. November 18 is Mickey's birthday. This year it seems they are actually do stuff for it. I have been following it for awhile. (I am lucky to share the same birthday with the mouse)

Ok, last question. I finally got my schedule cleared so I can go to this event... but I went to buy a D23 membership and it says it will take 3-4 weeks to get everything. Is there a way to show them that I am a d23 member if I haven't received the membership kit yet?
