So I looked in the "Disneyland" section of my Walmart (this location is not too far from the park, so it makes sense for them to have one) and saw several Disney pins! Anyone know how long Walmart has been carrying these? Anyone have opinions on them? And are other Walmarts carrying them too? I saw a bunch of Minnie, some Mickey, several Fab #... and one Grumpy. I am pretty disappointed that they had no Stitch! :sigh: Checked out Pinpics, but didn't see them listed, although these pins have the Disney name on the back.
Pics posted below...they are coming out giant again, I have never learned why some of my pictures paste normal and some are gargantuan...

It was $3.97, left that in the shot to remind myself :D

I haven't noticed any of these, but I wasn't looking for them either. Was this the WalMart just north of Disneyland off of the 5 freeway?

Looks like they're made by Monogram International Inc. Their website is: http://www.monogramdirect.com/
Not a great website to navigate, but there are some pins there. I think some of them are the swinging latch type pins though. Not sure.

Thanks for the heads up!

Thank you for the company info, I had no clue about that. And yes, it's in the Buena Park Mall on La Palma, near Beach.

Actually I was thinking about the one on Euclid, but looking at WalMarts on a map I see that there are several between there and Disneyland. I'll have to check one or two next time I'm around there. I like the Minnie and Figaro pin you found!

I saw some similar pins at a Walmart by Disney World when I was there last month. I didn't have a chance to look at the back, but was wondering if they were tradable. Also found a lot of gift shops in the strip malls selling cheap Disney pins for $2-4, don't know if they were made by the same group.

Yes the pins from Walmart are tradable in parks. But be careful with the cheap pins in the cheap gifts shops around Disney world. Most are fake pins bought directly from China unfortunally. :(

The Target on Harbor up the street from Disneyland also has pins again! I believe they are also Monogram brand.

These pins sold by Target and Walmart are tradeable pins. They are officially licensed and have the Disney copyright on the back. I wouldn't trust the pins from the gift shops, though. As Snoffsan said, they are usually cheap fakes.

Ah, I traded for the Mickey in the left, bottom corner of your last picture when I was in WDW. The CM was concerned I wouldn't want it because it didn't have the park backstamps. I was happy because I figured it was Jerry Leigh or Monogram and that it was authentic (unlike most other pins on CM lanyards). I figured it was something newer, but didn't know from where. Now I have an answer.

The Walmarts where I live don't have any as far as I know. Now I want to go and check.

It's pretty much only the Walmarts in the immediate area of Disneyland or WDW. These stores have sections for "Tourist / Souvenir" type stuff. If you've seen reference to Jerry Leigh and Mongram are the two companies I associate with these sections. They sell T-shirts, beach towels, keychains, postcards, and pins and more.

Ok I get that. I wonder if they have a section fro that on that on their online site.. I kinda doubt it. I just go straight to Disney.com anyway :D
