DSF/DSSH Almost Live at DSF - Cursive Cuties #2

I think these cuties will do what the first wave did. Start high, climb higher for a bit, then slowly but steadily decrease. The prices are starting out roughly like they did for wave 1 (Pooh was as high as 250/300 for a bit), but now the most expensive is Stitch and even he's fallen quite a bit.

I can see Simba falling down to about the 100-150ish mark like Pooh's been at for awhile. It might take longer to get there, but I don't think he's sustainable at 300/350.

I got 407 for this release which isn't too bad with 1074 showing up. Just didn't help the set was LE300, haha.

First time I was able to get into a PTD line as it flipped. Was able to get Hank for a friend and Jake as a trader.

I'm not bummed for not getting a good number as I had a blast trading and looking at books. I make it a point to bring a few pins to trade with me now in case I don't get a good number.
 
All of these pins sell out at the releases now I guess. I can remember going after the releases and finding ones that didn't sell out from different sets.

Pins don't always sell out! There were still a couple from the last one (Marvel Infinity Wars) when the Cursive Cuties were released. Also, Black Panther and Star Wars lasted for a really long time.

Agreed... the paint palette series in January had all 3 of the 4 available at the next release, 2 weeks later. I do not believe all of the moons sold out or the molded metal flowers from March. So perhaps 50/50 on sets selling out during the release. Even the hearts (from February) had Buzz and Jessie available when the store opened... But the popular ones definitely sell out.
 
OK, so there is still some hope! Especially for collectors of live action movie pins. Apparently the animated film pins are way more popular with pin collectors. (and resellers)
 
It really depends on hype for the pins. If there's a previous set that did well after its release (character blocks, cuties, cursive cuties) or if it has a lot of popular films/characters then chances are high they will sell out. Usually it's easy to gauge the hype on Facebook.

I'm a pretty new pin Trader and thought the moon set would sell out because they are so nicely done. But only 350 or so showed up and the whole set was still there.

It's just hard or expensive to get the pins if you don't go to the release and get a good number. I've only been to one release. I was lucky but it wasn't a crazy huge crowd that time. I always preferred to go later and pick up pins I wanted but that's rarely an option lately.
