I have a huge pin board for my Star Wars pins but I'm nevertheless running out of room. So I need to split it into multiple boards somehow but can't decide how. Dark Side vs Light Side may be too imbalanced. Doing it by films can get tricky with the overlapping characters, especially when some never visibly age. So any inspiration is appreciated!

All of my star wars are filed away in binders, but for the pins I have on the wall... they are hung based on pin sets. I think my monthly SW pin sets (I have the last 3 years now) would look nice on a pin board (or in a shadow box... which is what I like to do... and due to expense, likely why many of my pins are in binders. Haha)

I know this is not SW, but here are some examples of how I display pins based on pin sets. Someday, I may buy a big enough shadow box to do something similar with my monthly SW pins.

I have a fairly small Star Wars/Star Tours collection, which is split up by characters: Rey, Leia Organa, Han Solo and Kylo Ren (and Star Tours itself). I haven't photographed my Han and Leia boards yet, but they're arranged in the same way as my Rey board.

In general, I like to keep each of my pin displays really simple and limit them to just a few pins so that they don't look overly cluttered. It works for small collections, but for larger ones... well, let's just say my small Snow White pin boards take up an entire wall of my office. o_O

Here is my SW board. It looks jumbled but makes sense to me. Lol. I still need two more to finish the pin of the month series. My favorite SW pin is the Muppet

I have enough SW pins for a second board but those pins are scattered here, there, and everywhere.

This looks great! Seeing your collection makes me want to hunt harder for the 2 vinylmations to be complete. I’m so happy they made Medal of Yavin lanyard/medal/pin; when they came out I bought 2.

Not a Star Wars collector here, so I can't help you, but I just wanted to express my sympathies in trying to organize a massive collection of a massive universe of characters/scenes/lore. That sounds exhausting (and expensive), LOL!! Good luck! :D

This is me; I shall take sympathy. All my pins are organized except for Star Wars. Half are in a pin book. The rest are unceremoniously dumped in 2 different containers: carded and not carded. I need to take everything and reorganize by fixed sets, like zodiac, tsum tsum, and vinylmation. Then maybe by general theme (whatever that means) but then I have a bunch from recent movies: TFA, RO, TLJ, and grouping by new movies seems much easier and will help get the ball rolling.

Here is my board. Although its not much help to your question as it has no organization to it at all. When it got too full, I had to move some pins out. R2 is my number 1 love. So he got his own board. I also moved out all my Christmas ones into my book with my other Christmas pins.

Love the R2-D2 board!!!!

Here is my little Star Wars collection. There are a lot of Star Wars pins out there and I wasn't going to start collecting them but I really liked these sets. I had the Celebration pin from a while ago and also added a few more, but I will be very picky when it comes to adding to this collection.

I’m drooling over that 12 pin 40th anniversary mystery set. Nice collection!

I have a VERY specialized Star Wars collection. Here is how I display it:

Where did you find this? I am somewhat at a loss for words at this display. Not sure if to be incredibly impressed or a little scared. :)

All jokes aside... its amazing... very nice Timeerkat!

I love the Christmas star wars collection. Love this theme for star wars.

This is the coolest of cool! I love it and hope you'll be able to add to it someday!

Thanks! I hope they come out with more Salacious pins!

My friend knew someone getting rid of Salacious, so she grabbed him for me since she knows he's my favorite Star Wars character of all. I believe he was originally from one of the Star Wars Celebration events from a few years back. Then I just made him a little lanyard out of spare ribbon I had lying around.

I do not need an R2-D2 collection. I do not need an R2-D2 collection.
