I have the best boyfriend ever
Yes, this is pin related, i swear. Also need to make it clear, my boyfriend is always great but he did something really awesome. We live 6 hours away from each other, so getting together doesn't happen very often, so this is the first time we've seen each other since the end of May. While he doesn't collect pins, he's interested and really like to see my PODMs. He does his geek/nerd and I support him, and he likes to see mine.
So as you know, DSF did the Pixar beloved tales pins just recently. When i saw the release poster, I decided I was going to collect the Pixar Beloved Tales pins. I tracked down the already released ones and figured i'd just get those three when I could. Day after the release, I saw the very exciting UP surprise release. Then I checked out ebay and saw the prices. Not so exciting.
So I spent about an hour complaining and being unhappy about it my boyfriend (as one does). And he said that sucked and it wasn't nice. So I tried to win one in an pin auction, I didn't. So I worked on a trade and was lucky enough to find someone willing to trade! I made the trade just before I left and sent off my pins.
After a long 6 hour drive, i got to western new york and had a good cuddle. I was checking my tracking number for the pins, he saw what I was doing and asked. I told him about the trade, super excitied and he just looked at me and said "oh.. well.." I was surprised asked what was wrong as I figured he'd be happy for me. He then produced my birthday gift. An envelope with a card and the Beloved Tales UP pin. Needless to say, I was stunned, surprised and thrilled. He smiled and said I'd been so upset and he didn't want me to miss out, that he'd gotten it for me.
Best boyfriend ever. So now I have two UP pins, but I promised to trade one for something I really wanted.So I might be holding onto it for a while.
