I hope this is the right board for this question. Does anyone know how much the shipping is to ship a character key pin (the ones that PinPics sometimes sells) to Europe? When I want to order one PinPics asks $35 to ship to my country. At first sight this seemed like a lot.

Can anyone help me with this? I have a chance to use a US friend's address who can ship it to me through USPS but I'm not sure if that will be cheaper? I never want insurance or something, and my country tracks the customs number USA shippers get so I don't need to pay for extra tracking.

I would say that would be cheaper then the $35 pinpics price tag. I don't know how much PP charges for US shipping though, so not sure if it is that much of a difference.

PinPics asks $7,45 if it's a US address. I really love the character key pins but over $85 in total is a bit much lol.

It's really dependant on weight. Those key frames are probably pretty heavy framed, so 35 doesn't sound out of the question.

Hi OlafOlaf, Perhaps these pages on the U.S. Postal Service's website will help:

https://www.usps.com/ship/compare-international-services.htm (there is a priority mail express international category that is $35, and another priority mail category for $29-- perhaps one of these is being used?)

https://www.usps.com/ship/prepare-international-shipments.htm

http://postcalc.usps.com/ (postage price calculator)

The price of shipping to Europe/Japan/Hong Kong from the U.S. through USPS took a real jump 2-3 years ago. Assuming PP is using one of the priority options, $35 does not seem out of line (and may be the least expensive option). Hope this helps!
