I'm a wee bit concerned with the post, though. I'm not very familiar with some older pins. Did authentic pins have this type of post where there is a bit of sharp metal coming to a point sticking up at the base? I've attached pics of the front and back of the pin.

In fact, I have several older pins with such a post. They usually had a metal clasp instead of a rubber Mickey.
