*OOC Sorry I missed yesterday, hubby is very sick.

Dodo listens carefully and makes a note about the gold thread. Could Kaa have also thought this was the Beast from Beauty and the Beast? He is, after all, two different species at different times. Maybe, but he died and now Dodo won't know if he was correct. Dodo heads over to the parade area and watches as Scar talks to the family. The man of the house seems absolutely terrified that a lion is talking to him. Dodo wonders if the is hoping the lion doesn't eat the children.

Dodo takes out his now wrinkled, dirty, faded and damp notes to review them. But before he can sort them out, the parade looks like it is about to begin. Scar tells everyone to try to blend in with the parade. Dodo wonders if Scar has noticed how hard this might be for him. But in the spirit of cooperation, he hops on his transport, nearly runs over Mr. Toad and joins the parade.
 
after searching the GM car and finding nothing Kevin awaits what to do next when Scar gives the all clear to let the parade go ahead. When Scar tells them to blend in a mush as possible she suddenly thinks *how am I going to blend in, Im a multi-coloured bird*

with this she tries to blend in as much as she can by walking up and down the parade route and waving to the people who have to wait to see whats coming :)
 
Tink jumps off the car as it starts to move to the parade route. she flies up high as to watch the parade from above as it goes along the route so she can see if anything or anyone is suspicios looking. She Just hopes that nothing goes wrong.
 
Iago doesn't know much about cars, except how to soil them when they're below a tree. He appreciates his teammates' industrious efforts in checking things out, and chuckles to himself thinking about Tink doing engine work. He also thinks that Pumba speaking about a trunk is equally entertaining. He decides to fly along with the parade, keeping watch for unusual events. In the back of his birdbrain, he cannot stop thinking about the rapidly moving vehicle that entered the staging area. After all, he loves a good James Bond movie, and things like this are often the cause of future disasters...

He spots a dropped container of popcorn and makes his move...
 
Dodo is now sorry he thought he should snack on that dropped popcorn. As he crooks his neck down to pick up a piece, Iago flys straight into his hat (and his head). This causes Dodo's beak to hit the ground, miss the popcorn, and scare the children who immediately start screaming and crying. Forgetting the popcorn, he realizes that Scar is not going to be happy with his "blending" skills. Perhaps he should just locate a nice restaurant and have lunch. He looks over to be sure Iago is OK and then marches himself out of the parade route. He spots a food vendor and decides that maybe just a snack would be OK. He purchases an ice cream and heads back over to join the parade.

*At first everything is normal as the GMs car moves down the parade route. The crowd is waving and enjoying the parade. *

*The parade makes it's way around the Hub and takes it's final turn towards Main Street. Looking back towards the castle, it looks as if Florida is just about to have one of those famous sudden storms.*

*The Grand Marshal's oldest daughter has a large smile on her face as she knows this is a once in a life time experience. SUDDENLY everything changes. The driver shouts back that she has absolutely no control of the car and the family should hold on. The car speeds up and the family screams.*

*Directly in front of the GMs car is Belle walking down the parade route. She never even stands a chance as the Grand Marshall's car runs directly over her and flattens her. The crowd screams and children cry as another princess is killed. This time in front of hundreds of witnesses.The car comes to a halt as the driver gains controls just as fast as she lost it.*

*The driver jumps out of the car. " I SWEAR I COULDN'T CONTROL THE CAR !! I SWEAR!! I SWEAR!!"

SCAR to DETECTIVES*" Move this crowd away from the scene and don't touch anything."

OOC* I will continue this in the morning before work, but for now just post reactions.

Abu has been happily entertaining a small group of guests over near Tony's resturant and was given many "tips". He was reluctant to answer his phone but finally around the third time, he excused himself and saw that he was to join the nearby parade. Not sure on the best way to blend in, Carpet and Abu decided to just be themselves and join the parade as another "float".
 
* Up above, the clouds are threatening to rain. The whole ordeal with the semi-driver resulting in said driver's termination, as Chip observes from the backstage one of the CM's come to the Production manager. [Sir, there seems to be a huge storm heading this way].[ Be prepared, we'll run the pre-cavalcade in reverse first with some of the assembled characters while we set up for rainy day parade, Start now]

* Ghost Chip wills a Main Street Ops Parade Audience Control costume, following the parade as it starts from the Splash Mountain Entrance in Frontierland. He obseves from the sidelines making sure that none of the guests go past the ropes and stantions for safety. The route curves near Liberty Square and then Makes it way in front of the Castle Hub, a distinct lack of ropes and stantions present to keep the guests back from the parade. As the Parade continues on Mainstreet, the GM-Horseless Carriage suddenly takes it's own life as it speeds past down Main Street soon running over yet another Princess, this time the lovely and inquisitive Belle. Up ahead the storm clouds yield lightening, followed by thunder. PAC CM's left and right are scurrying to clear the area, Ghost Chip following to do the same. "Please everyone, For your safety we need for you to clear this area immediately" Suddenly the sky gives way to rain as this clears the guests from the area faster then CM's alone could.
 
Rafiki arrived just as the other detectives give the grand marshall car the all clear. He sees the family being led to the car and the parade setting off for the route.

Sensing that something was wrong Rafiki sticks close to the car to see if he can see what is happening. The car seems to be working fine. Just as Rafiki starts to draw back the car suddenly looses control and runs over poor Belle. Rafiki sees Scar shout about moving the crowd along, Rafiki seeing that no one has thought about the poor family in the car, helps them off and takes them over to an area away from the crowd and far enough away from the car. He starts to ask them questions about what happened.
 
MPH had been walking the parade route after inspecting the car with the other detectives. MPH's instincts tell him the narrow portion of Main Street is the most likely area for a disturbance, so he decides that is where he'll watch the parade. He finds a perch to watch the parade as the GM car randomly speeds up and runs over Belle. MPH notices kids crying, and decides to help clear the area while checking on Belle and trying to not allow the evidence to be disturbed. MPH is saddened by this death and more determined than ever to catch this killer.
 
Tink gasps in horror as the GM's car speeds up without warning and watches as the horified cm is unable to control the car. When tink sees the car veer to and run over Belle she is beside herself that she didn't spot anything on the car and wishes she could have had them use another car. She flies over to the car and starts puttin up screens to block the view.
 
Aurora goes with the other detectives to check out the parade floats. Aurora lets the others check out the car since she would not know what is out of the ordinary. After the car is checked out and Scar tells the detectives to blend in so Aurora decides to walk with the other princesses.

Everything is all smiles and waves as Aurora walks down the parade route. But then suddenly out of the corner of her eye Aurora watches as the GM car goes speeding towards Belle. Aurora cannot believe what she is seeing. As Belle is struck by the vehicle Aurora can't help but scream. Immediately chaos is all around the parade. Guests are screaming and running away. Aurora looks for the other detectives. Scar tells them to get the guests away from the scene. Aurora does what she can as she now finds herself with tears running down her face.
 
Iago, trying (and succeeding) to be useful, starts swooping down from the sky around Belle and the now-disabled vehicle keeping guests from contaminating the scene. He is horrified by what he saw, but now he recognizes that he must pay more attention to minute details. Iago, while protecting the crime scene, is looking for shifty characters.

He notices several people that look strange, but then realize they are just some of those fantatical pin-traders. He can't stand them, because the sun always seems to shine off of the pins and hit him in the eyes. After coming out of the darkness from his quiet "hut," this is quite a shock.
 
Pumba is shocked to see yet another princess killed. He tries to do what he can to deal with the horrified crowd.

"Seriously this killer has a real issue with princesses. Aurora please take care. "
 
Kevin is at the other end of main street as she is keeping everyone happy ready to see the parade pass by again when she hears screams coming from behind. She doubles back and just see's the GM car crush belle and coming right towards her..she squawks at the crowd to follow her to the nearest exit...

as she is hastily making her way with guests to a safe point she notices a child has been left and yells to the crowd *KEEP MOVING.*....HAS ANYONE LOST A CHILD*

she rushes back to grab the child just as the GM car zooms past.. she finds the parent of the child waiting frantically and is so happy to see her son and gives Kevin a big hug and a thankyou for her heroism.
 
Aurora is still trying to get the crowd to move away from the scene. Aurora calls to the maintence department to bring some temporary walls to put up. Aurora also talks to the remaining princesses and tells all of them they need to have personal bodyguards like she does! Aurora tries to hold it together as she relays the message. She is so heartbroken that her has lost so many personal friends over the last week.
 
*Chessie, who had been invisibly patrolling the parade route since Scar gave all the ride vehicles the all-clear and said the parade could proceed as planned turned in shock as the Grand Marshal car inexplicably sped up. Before the Cat could do anything, the car had run over Belle, to the horror of everyone present. Figuring that the time for caution is past, Chessie quickly drops the invisibility (as the query of 'where did the Cat come from?' could be heard running through the already-upset crowd) and gives orders to the CMs to control the panicking crowds as he rushes to the latest disaster, hoping to do something to help.*
 
MPH notices that the area is clearing of guests rapidly. It is about time to attend to the scene, but first, MPH decides to test out the theory that often times the madmen behind these acts will stay to see the aftermath of their behavior. MPH pulls out his camera and starts taking pictures near the scene. Instead of taking pictures of the scene, though, he is taking pictures beyond the scene to see capture the faces of anyone standing around. MPH makes sure to capture the second story and the roof of the surrounding buildings, plus the train station platform, just in case.
 
*Scar instructs the detectives not to touch the car. Since they were unable to find anything before the parade it is highly unlikely they will find anything after. Instead an expert on he matter has been called in.*

SCAR: "Detectives I understand your grief, but now is not the time for tears. Let's get out of this storm and take cover in City Hall. I have called in Mater to tow the car behind the scenes and Luigi and his crew will search for clues."
 
MPH finishes taking pictures when Scar mentions they should take cover in City Hall. MPH realizes he is drenched from the rain and cover would be a good idea. MPH ducks into Emporium, looking at all of the great items, then exits and crosses over to City Hall. Once there, MPH waits for the other detectives and starts looking through his notes.
 
*Chessie, who had just gotten to Belle, quickly realises that he won't be able to do anything to help her; she's already gone. He looks up as Scar gives the instructions not to touch the car and suggests that they move into City Hall to get out of the storm. The Cat then realises that the flashes of light he has been seeing were a combination of lightning strikes and MPH's camera flash ... and then the Cat realises that it has been raining for a while, now, and he - along with the other detectives - is getting quite wet.*

Chessie (to the detectives present): 'I suppose now is as good a time as any to take a few steps back, compare notes ... figure out what we know, what we know we don't know, and what we'd like to know. And ... '

*Chessie's voice temporarily trails off as the Cat shudders in the rain*

Chessie (to the detectives present): 'It probably would be a good idea to do that in a dry environment.'

*The Cat disappears and reappears inside City Hall, joining the other detectives already there. Once inside, he curls up on a chair, pulls out his notes, and starts going through them.*

OOC: Kaa/Lucan444, if you still are reading this, two points: 1. it IS okay for you to tell us who you falsely accused and 2. even dead, you do NOT have to be out of the game - Kaa still can continue on playing as a ghost (you just can't make another arrest to win the game)
 
Toad and crew blended into the parade and drove around waving at the kids. Toad hears the driver scream that he lost control and Toad shouts to his crew. "We got to stop that car!" They race up and try to slow the GM car with their own cars, but the GM car is just too powerful. "Look out!" Toad screams as they near Belle. Toad and crew turn out of the way just as Belle gets run over.
"Oh no!" he screams as they rush to her side.

They wait around til Scar tells them to head to City Hall.
 
OOC* I may be able to post during lunch today, but if not I will post tonight. I suggest gathering in City Hall and comparing notes.
EITHER:
1) You guys have missed several clues (the not so obvious, but suttle ones
or 2)Most of you have decided to keep the little extra info to yourself--which is fine by the way.

I try to avoid getting involved with the clue discussions as a character because I know who the killer is and risk giving extra info away.
 
Dodo is horrified at the scene unfolding before him. He rushes forward to try and save Belle from the run away car, but his little legs just won't go fast enough. He is out of breath and huffing badly by the time he reaches Belle's lifeless body.

Scar has taken control of the scene and the detectives are clearing away the crowds. Dodo heads toward City Hall so his hat doesn't get flattened by the rain. He realizes that he needs to take the time to sort and organize his notes and maybe compare with the other detectives. Hopefully someone will take pity on him and give me a bit of help.
 
*OOC I think my issue is that aside from the real straight-forward clues, I'm having a hard time distinguishing the subtle clues from some of the characters stories. Ex: we are now meeting at City Hall, how do I distinguish if that's a clue or not? Or when Kaa hypnotized Aurora?
