p.s. By the way the fabric is draping on the dolls, I would say 12 inch for these ladies (but I could be wrong!)

Wow! Thanks for the pics! Actually because of the details, Merida's head mold & features, and the box, I want to say they're closer to the 17" size...but I could be wrong too! Lol We'll just have to wait and see.

Oooh I love this! I am thinking this is a 17" doll set based on the packaging, which looks exactly the same as all of the other LE 17" dolls (and they have never used packaging that looks like this for 12" dolls).

Very interesting that they are putting two dolls together in the box! I wonder if it will be the same $99 price or slightly more...

Those were my thoughts too...looking at the bottom of Merida's dress and the belt relative to her height, if she was 12", the belt would only be maybe 1/2" wide which means the rhinestones are really tiny and would be really time consuming to attach...

Yeah, these stationary items appear to be the same items from before. The journal is sold out online, but it may restock (or not). You know how DS.com is!

I haven't seen the journal listed at disneystore.com yet...there will be seven journals for the designer villains...the six ndividual villain journals we have already seen and another with the four classic villains on the cover similar to the design of the villains jumbo pin I posted in the disney store sneak peeks thread about a month ago and can be seen on the "Reusable Disney Villains Tote" currently listed on the disney store site.

I'm sure you're right, I haven't been looking at the site to match up product pages with the images I find from my scans...What's your take on the height of the new Merida / Elinor dolls?

17" LE dolls. The box is pretty much a dead give-away. I think it is a bit odd that they crammed both dolls into that same sized box, though.

Thanks TheOtherSteve once again for finding the image links to a fabulous upcoming product release. It's funny to me that the smirk of the 12'' Classic Merida doll has been transfered to the 17'' LE Queen Elinor Doll. Whereas the new 17'' LE Merida doll has a serious expression, but not quite as serious as the previous 17'' LE Merida release. I think I would have prefered the Queen to have a serious expression, too. Her expression here is like a "Mother Knows Best" smile of satisfaction that everything turned out for the best.

I'm guessing the price will be $150 or less, since their outfits are simple compared to those of the other 17'' LE dolls previously released, and their doesn't seem to any accessories. It's interesting that they posed Merida to be considerably shorter than Queen Elinor (by bending Merida's knees), so their is more of a Mother-Daughter vibe to the set.

I was also thinking that their outfits appear to be more simple than previous dolls, which could possibly mean that they are trying to keep the price at $99? I would also agree that $150 would be the max amount, as I don't know how many people would purchase the dolls at a much higher price point.

Do you think Merida is sitting on something in the box (like a stool or something), or is she just positioned/fastened down in the box to look like she is sitting?

The LE 17" doll boxes are clear on the sides, so I am just wondering how it will look (if viewed from the side) if she is just "squatting"...LOL.

And random thought...does anyone else find it somewhat strange that we now have two 17" Rapunzel dolls and two 17" Merida dolls, yet there are still quite a few official princesses that don't have a LE 17" doll? I know Disney Store is not done and will continue to release these dolls, but I just find it interesting how they are choosing to release these. The first LE 17" Merida doll is still for sale on the website, and we now already have a preview for a new one (don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...just find it interesting

).

Random thought #2...I wonder if they are contemplating any more (two-in-the-box) LE 17" dolls. I would *think* they wouldn't add male characters, because they have already done many Princesses without their respective Princes...but who knows. I would LOVE to see a blue dress Tiana/ Pink dress Charlotte set!

Hmm...I may skip this one. I elected to stick with the 17" LE dolls over the designer series because I felt the 17" dolls had more detailed costume work which warranted the increased price. I did pre-order Cindy already, though I'm not as impressed with her ballgown considering what they could have done, considering the excellent work they have done before on their previous 17" LE Dolls. The costume work on these two dolls doesn't seem up to par (I agree with those who have suggested this is to keep the cost down considering that this is two dolls in one LE set), especially when you compare Merida here to the previous Merida doll.

I'm also feeling a little bit burnt out on the dolls at the moment though, which could be coloring my views. While I love the LE Wedding Rapunzel Doll, I agree with Princess Becky that it's kind of strange we have doubles of some characters before cycling through some other characters once first. (Although go ahead and release a different version of Snow White Disney Store! That WOULD be something I'm sure a lot of us would go for!)
