Off White Elephant Exchange Game for Christmas....Steal Shamelessly!!!

So this is like a White Elephant Game but the only thing is for sought after pins hence the Off-White Elephant.


DPF members who want to play need to sign up here on this thread and PM the pin or PODM that they are putting up for this Gift Exchange game.
We are only looking for pins that are really wanted by most DPF members. The reason I am doing this is because we are a community here and I want all members submitting to bid a pin they feel they would want to receive. Here are the only two type of pins you can bid.

Pins -

The value of the pin you are submitting must be at least $50 in current market value (sold pins). The pin must have a high want ratio by our collectors. The ratio needs to be at least 75 over the trade ratio. An example would be a trade ratio of 26 so the want of this pin must be at least 75 over the trade, so Trade of 26 must have at least a Want of 101. LE pins should be considered first and formost but if there is a highly wanted public pin then it may be submitted. Remember we are doing this trade game for each other so give something you would personally want to receive.


PODM's -

(Only up to two PODM's from a movie will be accepted. Example: if two members offer Peter Pan then the next member must chose another movie or cartoon PODM such as Tangled. The PODM must have a decent scene with at least one main character in the scene so no logs, trees, fireworks, wheel, wave, etc.)

I will make the pin or PODM I personally am submitting has at least a 100 plus want ratio over the trade ratio. A really wanted pin/PODM.

As moderator of this game thread I reserve the right to turn down a submitted pin if it is a duplicate or does not follow the above guidelines.

Now that that is out of the way I'll take names for people signing up. The cap will be at 25 members. Each member will PM me what pin they have to offer, their address, and I will randomize their pin with a number 1-25. Then we'll randomize who goes in what order. Once someone picks the number, the pin will be revealed, and will be available for steal. Pins can be stolen twice and locked on the 3rd owner. I will go last but I cannot steal, I just get whatever is left over. This may take some time as we'll have to get everyone to check when it is their turn.

Overseas members may sign up so prepare that you may have to spend a little more money to ship your pin if it is chosen by a DPF member across the pond.


Sign up and PM me your pin you offered up. I will put them in the order of PM I get and use a randomizer website to mix up the order. Also the picking order will be random and I will go last (but can't steal.) Also, I will let you know if you end up picking your own just so you don't end up with it. I will mail the address to each person so they know where to send it. The sender may reveal themselves or not, up to them. Let the Off-White Elephant game begin.

I cleared up my mail box. For all those submitting PODM's, and there are quite a few, please PM me your cell scenes. I will accept only two from each movie/cartoon and the scenes have to have main characters in them. For those submitting pins please remember that these should be of just about grail caliber, not anything you want to pawn off. I want to make sure that each suprise elephant pin is an awesome pin that we would all really want.

I will re-check this thread and my PM box in a few hours. I'm off to the gym now.

Sounds like people may be turned away based off of pin being submitted not being up to snuff...

 

Just my 2 cents: I prefer the +50 rule..2:1 would apply to a pin with 5 trading and 10 wanting (just as an example).

 

You are correct, these have to be pins highly wanted by most.
