Bought this at a Toronto candy shop, for $2.99 yesterday, thinking that "it must be a scrapper." Didn't even know that it was an apparently LE 2000, just thought I'd get it because it was interesting.

Thing is, Pinpics doesn't list it as a known scrapper. I can't find reference elsewhere, either.

I believe they also had Sao Feng. I can't remember what the other Disney pins were, just that they were all just $2.99, suspiciously low. A few other pins reminded me of ones I had seen as scrappers.

The pin looks correct except the wrong card.
I have all of em but jack sparrow.
they did get sent by disney to the outlets at one point.

hope that helps.

@WDWjuan, that cheap?,, no wonder I have gotten some easy trades on em.
except for Jack,,, still missing that one.

As I see it, last year can be considered the year of POTC pin bubble burst. The WDW Cast Connnection had an overabundance for months of those pins ranging from $.49-$.99. I bought a whole lot of them and even put some of them on my Cast Lanyard to trade away seeing as they were LE. I doubt its a fake but if you're that skeptic of it's authenticity post the back too, I remember what it looks like.

Wow, quite shocked that it might be real. Wish I had more trust in the candy store, it's a really over-priced tourist shop (everything triple the SRP), so something so cheap seemed way suspicious to me, having only ever bought Disney pins at the Disney Store.

Here's the back of the pin.

And on the off-chance it's relevant, there's the back of the card, which appears to have had a price tag firmly on at one point.

Thanks all!

Hey Elizabeth, congratulations on getting an LE. The card back is just the generic vinyl card back that most come in. Hmm, now thinking about it I might have the original card-back to the pin set at home actually, I'll check when I get home.
