I'm mailing eight pins to another trader and I wanted some advice about insurance. At what value do you attach insurance? Also, do you insure the pins for the original retail price or the secondary market value?

Thanks for the advice?

I have asked at my Post Office about insurance & the claims process - you can only claim what you can prove as to value. Usually that means receipts.

I doubt completed sales on an auction site would be proof of "secondary market value".

You should talk to someone at your Post Office.

It's been a while since I've traded through the mail, but I insure mine.

But it's going to be hard to prove value. It's not like I have a paid invoice for it.
