Awww...... That's too bad. The "hunt" to complete Mystery Sets were FUN the past two Events!!

Guess Disney can't do for EVERY Movie Anniversary. Oh well..... TTFN

Thank God. If I attended a PTN with mystery boxes, we wouldn't be able to afford the gas to get home afterward.

Oh you should have seen the last event this past February. It was the Reveal/Conceal Mystery box Peter Pan. The Merchandise Cart inside the Convention Hall sold over 400 boxes of them, and that is not including the pre-sales. The event before, back in November, the cart sold over 650 of the Genie mystery boxes. It was quite crazy as everyone was trying to complete their sets. :)

What time do people generally show up for these PTN thingies?

The event starts at 5pm. For the last event back in February there were Guests waiting as early as 2pm if I remember correctly. However, there really is no need to line up that early as there is always ample seating and more than enough pins on the merchandise cart if you don't pre-purchase, or want to purchase more.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear it. I don't want to cut my day at MK too short.

I'm considering a WDW trip that weekend (its my Bday weekend) - how much trading goes on at these? how many people go?

I have only been to the big August event....but really want to do some in person trading! But hauling pins on airplanes is not fun......

I'm not collecting wall-e any longer (keeping my faves, but not adding to them....in theory...) so wouldn't be that interested in the RSP.....

It's basically like Thursday night at the August event (same ballroom, even), only reduced down to about a fifth. I'd say about 200 people attend nowadays (not as many as the Contemporary days, which were around 500, but not a bad amount). There's maybe not the number of heavy hitters there as during the August event, but some do come. I'd say there's the same type of traders...some high-end, a lot of "middle of the road", and some beginners. Just on a smaller scale.

All in all, I'd say it's worth it. If hauling the pins on the airplane is an issue, maybe just bring one bag? That's what I'd do if I end up going to a Paris PTN one year :)

You can always try and pre-trade, too- that way, you can guarantee some trades, and what you bring is easier to decide.

Sounds cool, figuring out my schedule to see if I can swing it.

Any other events going on that week/weekend? (I think the central florida pin traders monthly event is earlier in the month?)
