I just saw someone with a pre-sale listing on eBay for Tink and came here because I had not seen anything about it.
Also - saw the 4 "diversity" dolls on shopdisney - some were saying they will be $60, and though they are limited editions, they are somewhat not the same, more of a collab and will be available not just through Disney. If anyone has more info, please inform. I'm not interested in the dolls, but more curious as to the who, what, when, where on what Disney is doing here. If they are in fact LE's and will be available in other retail establishments, that tells me they don't want to be stuck with the 10K dolls they just did.

I'm actually a big Tinker Bell fan thanks to those recent movies that came out 10 or so years ago. But this doll isn't doing much for me now that I look at it more. Normal pretty, but nothing exciting or new. I think the face is throwing me off the most. But the outfit could have been elaborated upon for sure.

I keep comparing this to the simplicity of the 30th anniversary Ariel, but I think they made her interesting and different enough. So simplicity isn't the problem I'm having with Tink. Maybe that she's too normal?

Just updating: The 4 diversity dolls (Snow White, Cinderella, Tiana, and Rapunzel...are NOT limited editions. Special editions like the holiday dolls. Disney did call them Limited Editions originally before the release.

Tink has that pearlescent skin - which I do like, but at the same time always makes them look sweaty. She's cute - but a no for me.

Oh I didn't even realize she had pearlescent skin. Yeah, sometimes it looks good and sometimes it looks sweaty.

So, do you like this better than the Designer Fairies Tinker Bell? :D
That's a good question. And a hard call. I really liked Fawn's outfit from the previous designer series. But Tink's dress was just okay in my opinion. I think this outfit is better overall than the previous designer Tink, but still not interesting enough for me to part with my money.

Maybe part of the problem is this Tink's face looks too old and generic here. I'm also used to seeing her with a smirk or mischievous expression.

I don't know anymore, lol. I thought I'd be interested in her but I'm not. Or maybe after the spending on dolls last year I'm going to have to be extra wowed anymore to buy an expensive doll.

I'm torn on Tink, and not sure if I'll get her. I have the Designer one from years ago and love her. I don't think this one is as nice, so maybe I'll just be happy with the one I have.

At first I was excited about the doll and still I think she's quite pretty, but she's lacking a wow factor. The pearlescent skin doesn't bother me, but it's not a preference either. It's harder to photograph, but I think it's okay in person on display. There are some nice elements included in the fashion, but overall it looks quite cheap. Not at all like what we used to get. I was more impressed with the first picture here as the colors looked more vibrant, but larger more detailed pics make the colors look a bit faded and make the material look more cheap. The could have done a lot more with her wings. They look more play line and less collectible quality. I don't think they captured her personality at all either.

I agree about her face looking older. Tink is a fairy and supposed to be cute, little and mischievous.

I like the character, so I might cave, but I'll wait to see pics IRL.

As an aside, the dolls renews my sadness that they stopped the designer series and the new movies. I was hoping for a Silver Mist and Rosetta at least. I fear if they bring them back, they won't be of the same quality in material and design. I still hope for them, though.

I personally like angry Tink....nose up or red cheeked. But they made the first designer dolls after the newer animated series, not Peter Pan. I'd get her if she was in a hot-headed furious pose, lol.

Love everyone's observations and critiques of the Tink doll. But no one has mentioned that it's another Tink. I know she's popular, but I've seen plenty of people wish for a Wendy over the years. It's Pan's 70th, and Disney just pops out another Tink instead of offering something different. They've been more creative about adding characters lately ... except now. And don't tell me Wendy wears a nightgown the whole movie; they were able to do plenty with "rags" Snow and Cindy, haha. I'm not even feeling salty about it, just making an observation of my own!

Just looked at the new Tink at ShopDisney....she's 15" ?? Am I reading that right that she's in between a 17" and a designer size? Her little wings are pretty... but $149 is just a no. Was more fun when the doll releases were less saturated and cheaper. The last designer release was a joke with - let's bring out the same doll in a different dress, and oh check the outlets for the 10k first ones. Never buy these dolls early anymore....wait for a sale, wait for the clearance.

Yes! Wendy is my girl. There is certainly not enough merch (dolls, pins, whatever) with the Wendy Bird for my taste.

I didn't think about that, but you're right and that's a really good point. They could have done a nice Peter Pan and Tink set instead. I'd enjoy a Wendy doll too, but it is really strange they didn't do a Peter Pan now that you mention it. I personally love Tink, and I think because of the subsequent fairy movies she's more popular, but these collector dolls should be about celebrating the original movie they're supposed to represent. I don't think this Tink does that.

Bo-Katan Kryze Special Edition Doll – Star Wars – 11'' | shopDisney

Not much in the way of dolls so far (which is a blessing on my wallet actually). But I admit I have been enjoying The Mandalorian so far, and the Bo-Katan doll is grabbing my attention. I didn't buy the Ahsoka doll because there was something bland about the doll's expression, but Bo-Katan's doll face looks interesting. And the helmet is neat.

So far I have not seen any Honey offers or other discounts. Has anyone found any general discounts to use on recent Ship Disney items? (I don't have a D23 membership or the special credit card, so I can't use any member discounts.)

This is SO TRUE. I am not a big fan of Tinkerbell, but Wendy is one of my favorite characters of all time and is literally the protagonist. I am baffled as to why Tink gets all the merch and Wendy gets none when Wendy is the heroine. I don’t like Tink at all so I feel like every time there’s Peter Pan merch I’m just not interested

Tink is the original Bad girl.

Tink definitely has a bad reputation, thanks to how she acted in Peter Pan. So no getting around that.

Originally I couldn't stand her. She was a pretty awful person overall. But then I saw the 5 or 6 Disney Fairies movies that came out about 15 years ago, and it was a new Tink, one that I actually very much commiserated with. (I very much am a tinkerer and crafter, like they portrayed her to be.) Normally I'm not a fan of redoing/rebooting characters, but I felt like this change worked really well and gave more depth to the Peter Pan world. And she still has a stubborn attitude, so nothing changed there, lol.

PS - the Disney Fairies dolls were so pretty too. I remember the early characters like Rani and Fira. Very pretty and unique face molds.
