I'm in the middle of making a high caliber trade and I was wondering if anyone has traded with lena27 on pin pics? Shes an overseas trader and I've never traded overseas.

I just agreed to an amazing multi-trade with her. So far, my luck with overseas trading has been good. *crosses fingers and knocks on wood for it to continue*

When I looked up lena27 on PinPics I noticed most of her traders are from the west coast. Are you sure she is overseas?

Does she have Dizpins references?...she didn't build that collection without some online trading, unless she only recently moved to Australia.

She seems to have a lot of DSF pins. Even the Dumbo pin that was only in the store for a little while. There is already a new Sundae pin forgot to get a picture.

Be careful. Every once in awhile someone scams several people and is never heard from again. I always trade 1 pin overseas. Than after I receive pin traded for I will trade MULTIPLES. Just my two cents.

I think you are being unfair prejudging her because she is overseas. People in the US scam too !

I am overseas and have lots of pins from DSF, DLR, WDW as I come over every year and have good contacts in Anaheim area

I'm in Canada so sometimes people have concerns trading with me - the concern isn't that people 'overseas' are seen as more likely to be scammers, it's that if things do go wrong there is no postal tracking (at least at a reasonable price) to prove they got your pin but you didn't get theirs.

I'm not prejudging her, its just my first time doing an international trade. I made this thread to see if anyone else has traded with her. So far she seems like a trustworthy person and our deal involves grail caliber pins and I'm just a little bit on edge.

Have you asked this said person to send their pins first and as soon as you get theirs that you would their pins?

This is exactly why I started this thread! I'm not at all convinced that this lady is a scammer, what's stated above is exactly what my concern is and I just wanted to see if anyone else has traded with them and what their experience was

Does she have references and if so, from a good time spam and not all in the last month or whatever? Oh and Nathan remember to pm me with what pins you want in your Grail siggie!

I think with trades that go outside of the US it is always best to be cautious, not because they're untrustworthy as someone seemed to think everyone was implying but because of what was said after, that you cannot track packages outside of the US, unless you spend a lot more money and even then USPS won't do it, you have to go through another carrier, like UPS or Fedex, not sure who gives you tracking info. Definitely check her dizpins references, I find it a little disconcerting that she's making several high end trades all within a week with several different users. Starting this thread was a good way to start but also as I said, check her references on dizpins, if she has a lot of feedback, great, if not, maybe go with the suggestion to just do one trade for now and if all goes well then follow up with the multi trade.

I send a tonof pins to a person in Australia. All from the west coast including the newest Dumbo PTD pin. email me privately and tell me the persons name and i will let you know if that is the person.

I declined a trade with her just recently. I was a little nervous because she was from Australia and had a VERY recently released pin. I thought there is no way that pin was released and reached her by the time she sent me a request for trading. There is no physical way.
Also because the pin she wanted from me was very bulky and it would cost me way too much to ship there.

I think that the best thing to do would be to check references. If they don't have any, ask them if they have anyone that they have traded with lately that might be able to recommend them.

Another option instead of asking them to send first is to ask if they would do a moderated trade where you both send pins to a moderator and once both parties pins are received they forward them on.

I've been trading pins internationally for over 10 years and traded beanies before that and have never had any issues.

Hopefully it works out for you

I would like to know if anyone has completed a successful trade with this person. :)
