Hello all,

Does anyone know when the pin set for the 2nd half of the Fairytale Designer Collection will be released? I am guessing next week on Tuesday, which is when most of the merchandise is supposed to come out besides the dolls. Also, was the last set sold in individual pieces or as one giant set? Feel free to discuss them here, as I haven't seen very many people talk about them so far (which is understandable when compared to the dolls, which are more coveted).
 
As far as I know, the pin set was first unveiled at D23 as were the dolls. Then the dolls became available on retail via Disney Stores a few months later.

The pins were sold only as a set but the dolls were available as both a set and invidiually. However, the dolls could be purchased as a set ONLY at D23 -- an exclusive offer. They were later released individually through the Disney Store.

If it follows this trend, I'm thinking that it will be more likely that the 2nd half be released first at D23 expo next year before going on retail.

The fairytale designer set is announced on the spanish DS (they always have the release ad in advance, I don't know why ^^)

Is anyone willing to maybe Split the set so it can be more affordable maybe with another person 2 other people or 5 other people this way you can divide the price and everyone gets a pin. PM If anyone is in the UK and can purchase one. :) :D

With each new Designer Release they slightly up the edition size...the previous Designer Couple set was LE 250, Designer Villain was LE 200, and Designer Princess was LE 150.

I am so glad they realize that these sets are popular and give more people the opportunity to obtain one...if it was up to me I would make them LE500....but at least we get 100 more than last year's set. :)
 
I can imagine some people being disappointed in the higher LE. They probably want these as traders for the other designer set.
 
Just curious: does anyone think this set will be as popular as the first set? The first one had some of the more popular couples as they were planning on only making one set so they put all the favorites in there. I like this set as I think they all look well designed and I love they take on the designer look for these couples.

I was at the D23 Expo in 2011 & again in 2013.
The original Designer Princess Pin set was sold at the 2011 Expo.
The Designer Fairytale Couples Pin set was sold at the 2013 Expo.
The Designer Villains Pin set was released online only in 2012 as it was between the D23 Expo years.
My guess based on the above trend is there will be an entirely new set of Designer items released at the 2015 D23 Expo.

Anyone else that has attend the Expos have any other ideas or observations?
