2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II
I am probably going to regret this but I think I am going to pass on the mugs and journals. The doll set was expensive enough.

The Tiana and naveen pic doesn't look nice either but we all know the dolls look much better in person
 
haha, just noticed Cinderella's head now (wasn't really checking out the stock photos - only desperately hitting the check-out button).
If she's delivered that way it seems like most of us have to open the cases to correct her - like I had to with my Ariel and Eric, since Eric's head was turned all to the side, checking out chicks behind Ariel's back XD
 
This is sad...
Dolls going up on eBay for over $1,300.. And you still have to pay for shipping too.
And both sets on eBay have watchers already.
 
Don't forget- the pre-order set was probably only like 500 out of the 6000 edition size so the individual dolls should be online for longer. I'm just sad that they've consistently released notecards for every line except this one. I waited up specifically to get them, and now I'm going back to bed empty handed. I have about $68 worth of baby clothes in the basket so I'll have to find something else to get to get the $75 for free shipping.
 
I am afraid to go to eBay. I know that if I go there, I am probably going to see several sets for sale as well as several of the pin sets for sale. It saddens me. I feel as if scalpers know these dolls are coming out, come to places like here on the forums and the Disney doll Facebook groups just to get the links. I'm just sick of it...

I personally thought the dolls looked gorgeous in their boxes, but now that I look at Cinderella, the way they have done her dress at the bottom is bugging me a little bit. Hopefully she won't have that problem in person. As for the rest of the merchandise, I like what we have, but I do agree that I expected a bit more. Still, hopefully that Pocahontas shirt will be available tomorrow, as I really wanna buy it for my mom for either Christmas or her birthday.

Check out the Sketchbook ornaments. They are pretty nice looking. I love the ones I got last year.
 
I didn't even notice Cinderella's head and bottom of her dress in the stock photo until now! Exorcist head is easy to fix but I hope there's more room in the box to actually flair her dress out..

I honestly didn't think about that. That is a good point. So hopefully the individual dolls won't be too crazy then. When Tiana and Naveen are released, they should give us an idea of how this is all going to go down for those of us who only want certain dolls.

I hear you. I just wanted Aurora to be honest, and this is beyond nuts. I had no trouble with the site, and yet no page to buy from.

I wouldn't bet all releases would be like Tiana and Naveen's though. The sets gain popularity as they're released. Last year Snow White was online for about 2 weeks, then Rapunzel for about 3 days, then Jasmine 6 hours, Belle was only a couple hours, and Ariel was about a half hour or less. That being said, I think most people will have a reasonable chance at getting the ones they want as I said before, if they're prepared.

Well I'm off for the night. I'm still quite sick so I'm supposed to be resting (I'm a terrible patient lol); I think I'll sleep on that sweatshirt and make a decision tomorrow (or maybe it'll be sold out and I won't have to make a decision). I'm trying to buy big girl clothes lol with a smaller wardrobe because I have too many clothes, but it'd be really comfy for house lounging, but I have so many comfy lounge clothes already, gah. Never, ever let me make a decision- I'm awful at it.

Actually, I wouldn't go by the first few releases at all. Last year it wasn't until the final two dolls, Belle and Ariel, were released that they started selling out instantly. I know things are different now after Frozen introducing hundreds of new collectors to the scary world of Disney Store doll collecting but I still don't see Tiana and Pocahontas (first two) or even Mulan causing as big a rush as Cinderella and Aurora will (POC princesses never sell as well as the status quo blonde white chicks). Plus these dolls grow in popularity simply by having them on display for weeks at the store before they're available for sale. My local store took a couple of weeks to sell out the first two last year and by Ariel, had EIGHTY (80!!!) people put their names in for 18 dolls. I'm just thankful Disney is now releasing the dolls online the next day after in store releases.
 
So, is the raffle now the S.O.P for all stores?

We were in NYC for Ariel & Eric, and were pleasantly surprised when we showed up at the Times Square Store, and they had this raffle system in place. MUCH better than the overnight camp-out in Orlando that they had during Dollmageddon.

I would much rather leave it to chance then give up a ton of hours in an overnight camp-out...

Man the scalpers already have the whole set listed on ebay but what's sadder is that there are people bidding on them already. :( This is what drives the secondary market prices up.
 
Finally my order says "active".
Guess I'll try to get 30 minutes of sleep before my hospital appointment and later on university classes to 5 pm… it's going to be a long day ...
 
How quickly did these pins sell out?! I am now feeling a lot more nervous about trying to get the UK release on Thurs!
 
WTF...ok so, when I was ordering, I put my boyfriend's address, selected my cc by mistake, and entered his number on the back of the card. The website told me "this is the wrong card". ok, I select his, enter the code, goes through.

Now I have "PENDING DISNEY $700" on MY credit card statement. I'm really hoping it won't go through, because it charged his card as well.

UUUUUGH stupid website
