DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Third in line with forty minutes to go. Definitely getting blue Aurora, and debating on Maleficent depending on how i like hey in box. I got some extra funds yesterday, but I'm just not sure on her, the fairytale couples set of Rose and Philip, or just saving my money.

I hope everyone has managed to get the dolls they wanted. I passed on the sleeping beauty ones as the actual outfits didn't really do it for me. Somehow I would have liked them more if they had been closer to the original and plain. But that's just me :)

My boyfriend went at 9:30 today and didn't manage to get a Maleficent. The whole thing was apparently very poorly planned. I don't blame them as a lot of things are going on today but still disappointed. And I really don't want to have to stay up or get up at 3AM but I will now! LOL.

Feel bad for those who have to get up in the night. Least 8am isn't too bad a time.

loving the video Sara. :) I really adore the shades of blue.

My store seemed to be somewhat poorly planned as well. I was the first in line (arrived at 7:30). Instead of handing out the vouchers, they did and said nothing until about 10:02. They opened the doors for the opening ceremony and I asked how they were going to handle the doll situation, if it was just going to be a free for all once the rope was down. The first cast member did not know, and finally the manager said to follow her to the register. No clue how many of each they received. The employees were nice but did not seem to have any plan for today. The people near me in line and myself were all anxious. For the Pink Aurora pre-order, the manager came out a few times to check in with us so it was definitely different this time around.

Phillip looks much better in person, it was hard to pass him up but finances prioritized Maleficent and Blue Aurora lol.

First 17" LE dolls ever is a success!! Got blue Aurora and maleficent and picked up my pink Aurora! :D my adrenalines still pumping lol

Wanted to share pictures but how do you add pictures without URLs on this? Still a newbie here :)

I received a 'thank you for your order!' email, doesn't mean it's gone through though does it? I ordered at around 8:14.

Also, as others have said, the pink Aurora had crystal on her cape in the promo photo. Shame things get cut out.

Unless you get a shipping e-mail, always expect the worst. Better that way.

Omg!! I just picked aurora, and her COA is 3623. She is very beautiful and big in person. The pink aurora has a white tulle petticoat, with a nice pink underskirt. And her dress is very nice, her fabric is thinner than I thought which is good since it's supposed to be flowy. She has no high heels, only pink flats, which of course means articulated ankles. Her hair is much fuller in person, and her eyelashes are nice and long.

Pictures do not do her justice!!

Got all SB four dolls in the store today (including my preorder pink Aurora)! Waited about three and a half hours and am now completely exhausted, but I am so relieved it's all over and so happy I don't have to deal with ordering them online. Now all I have to do is wait and get my Designer couples preorder set in the mail and I can finally relax, at least until the next doll release.

I love all of the dolls in person. They look great in their boxes. I am a little upset though that my Maleficent's face paint is a little sloppy. There is some black paint from her chin that bleeds unevenly into her face, and there is also a very faint scratch on her nose and another one near her eye. The flaws are only noticeable very close up and I know it could be a lot worse, so I guess I can live with it. I also ended up with a box that has several faint scratches all over the plastic but it seemed like most of the Maleficent's they had in the store were like that for some reason. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with what I got. :)

Good luck to everyone in the US trying for dolls tonight. I am very curious to see how it goes with the four dolls being released at once.

This is your friendly reminder to watch out for dented boxes even for in-store purchases. I have a very badly damaged Philip right now that I couldn't inspect in-store.

I know, my store tried to give me a Pink Aurora that was absolutely covered in creases and a Philip that had sticky goo on it. They were really trying to rush us though and I could tell they were a bit annoyed at the people who wanted to inspect the dolls, so you could only do a very quick glance over for major flaws. They did give me other ones though.

I hope Disney waits a good long time before they release anymore dolls. My bank account needs some serious recuperation after the last couple of months.

They didn't even give me the option. After the Frozen madness, they basically told everyone to stop opening their dolls in store and they put the dolls in the bag before you can see them. I understand why, it's just frustrating.

I was at Florida Mall (Orlando). Got all 3! I was Number 6 in line...I arrived at 6 AM. Everyone was pretty cool in line! Exchanged some numbers, had some good conversations!

I bombed out on Designer Cinderella, though- there were like 60ish people there, and they only had 19 dolls. Times Square was better!

Oh, my Maleficent is for trade, btw!

Oh no, that's horrible. These dolls are a lot of money; I think you should have a right to see what you are purchasing.
