DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
It would make more sense to release an LE Hans with the next set of Frozen, though, not with Cinderella (unless we're getting even more Frozen dolls sooner than we think, though I highly doubt that). I'm thinking that they'll release the Frozen Fever LE Anna and Elsa, alongside another version of Kristoff and then possibly the rumored Hans next Fall when Aladdin comes out, in order to make up for not releasing another Designer collection.

Does anyone honestly believe that Hans will appear in any more Frozen-related films/shorts? Because I for one think it's really weird that Disney still seems to be teasing potential Hans merchandise when the golden opportunity to release him in LE form came and went after he wasn't announced with Kristoff (and it would be a total surprise if he shows up in Frozen Fever, so to me it would be even weirder to include him in that release).

Granted it's going to be really difficult for a Hans appearance to make sense given what happened in Frozen (the whole trying to kill Anna and Elsa thing might have created some hostility, LOL) but I think if it's written well enough it could be kind of amazing. :) And I'm still down for an LE Hans, I'm just very skeptical it's going to happen at this point.

Would definitely try to get Hans IF he will be released next week. It seems weird releasing he along with the Cinderella dolls; but i guess it fits. Not only because of Frozen Fever, but also because this would show that Disney did their homework thinking of the Sleeping Beauty release. It was horrible, 5 dolls at once...

I wish they had made an LE version of Lady Tremaine (inspired by the upcoming live action movie of course)..

I know this is unrelated to the topic of hand, given that it's release day, but I was hoping for a suggestion. I'm a huge Sleeping Beauty nut. I have over 25 dolls related to SB, 5 of them LE.
This is just my LE portion, not including my Tonner Briar Rose. I'm wanting to complete my collection. I don't know whether to get the Designer Fairytale dolls, Blue Aurora, or Maleficent. I'd like the designer to complete that collection, but I'm sickly in love with the 17" dolls. I like Blue Aurora more, but since I already have her in pink, I feel like it'd be silly to get her without getting Maleficent first. What do you recommend? Which would be the best price?

I guess this is really a matter of preference, but you can't go wrong with any of them as they are all lovely! If I have to chose a favorite within the ones you are wanting to get I would have to go with blue Aurora. To me their is something magical about her in her blue dress. As I said though they are all stunning. Since you already have Phillip and Pink Aurora getting Mali will look really nice with the other ones as well. The designer fairytale is pretty, but I think Aurora looks a lot better in the 17" version. Good luck :)

Right now, I'd get the Blue Aurora and Maleficent, as you can get these close to retail + shipping (for 17" dolls, that'd good!). The Designer Fairytale Couples of Aurora is a bit more than retail, but not as much.

My experience at the mall was wacky! I called a few days ago and was told they had 16/16/14 (Elsa, Anna, Kristoff). The mall opens at 8 am for walkers but apparently there were people already there since 4:30 a.m., loitering. They stuck around Starbucks til 6 a.m. when mall security told them to move. They then stood outside for about 1.5 hours and were let inside the mall at about 7:30 a.m.

I got there shortly after 8 a.m. with my parents (was trying to get a set for sis this go around). There were already 15 people there ahead of us!!! So, I was like, well, at least I'll get an Elsa and an Anna. Then DS manager comes out an announces 14 Elsas, 16 Annas, and 15 Kristoffs and that one of the Annas has a dent in her box. I'm like what?!

Fortunately, a few people passed on Elsa so we were able to get 2 Elsas, 2 Annas, and 1 Kristoff. 4 people behind us also got Kristoff and I let the guy behind me take a picture of the UPC/SKU to see if it would work tonight.

Unfortunately, one one of the Elsas is the one that had the dent and a crinkle in the plastic cover, but it's not like I could have switched them out as these were the last two in the store. :( I haven't inspected the Annas closely yet.

Now, the question, should I try to order online?

Its good to know that, for the most part, the experiences wen't smoothly enough for everyone who went to the stores to be satisfied with their purchases. Even though there were only around 6 or 7 people at my store when I went to get the Maleficent doll last year, these stories are making me take extra precautions for when I try to get Cinderella next week. Better to be safe than sorry!

As for the whole Hans deal, I think it is certainly possible. Hans is still considered a Disney villain, so treating him like all of the other villain dolls makes sense in that he will probably be announced early next week if the rumor is true. Frozen Fever is playing in front of Cinderella, so releasing him with the Cinderella dolls isn't too weird, but I feel like it would have been smarter to release him with the Frozen dolls. When they announced Frozen Fever was in development at the end of the Frozen documentary that aired on TV last year, I believe they said everyone would be returning for the short, even the trolls and Hans. Don't quote me on that because I am going solely by memory and I could be completely wrong on that. So maybe that is why they decided to wait till Cinderella's release? I'm not sure, but I guess we will find out next week.

If he does happen to be in Frozen Fever, then I think Disney should wait and release his doll along with the inevitable Frozen Fever dolls. That way not everyone will have to go totally broke in the span of just two weeks.

I didn't see where the question was ever answered-is the item number the same for US as it was for UK? If so, someone posted the elsa and anna item numbers but does anyone have the kristoff item number?

WOO! I'm breathless with happiness!!! :) I got all three in store this morning and I love them! I think this color scheme looks so elegant and classy, less like children's toys and more...regal maybe? I am super satisfied!!

djjen416, Kristoff's item number on the receipt I got says: 460709805663

By the way does anyone know why the Elsa and Anna are labelled as "Q215"?

I'm assuming because there were multiple Frozen dolls it's to identify these specific ones as the ones released Q2 (2nd quarter) of 2015.

My item numbers from the receipt were: Elsa - 460709983866 and Anna - 460709983941.

Makes sense about the Q215, thanks!

Same item #s as mine :)

To answer the bolded, this is a business thing. Each fiscal year, which for most companies runs from September of one year to August of the next, is broken up into four quarters. So the fiscal year for 2015 started in September of 2014 and ends in August of this year. The Q215 stands for "quarter 2 of 2015". Annnndddd looking at my receipt just now I noticed Kristoff does NOT have a Q215 by his item description. Fellow collectors, I think this pretty much confirms that there will be another LE Elsa and Anna released sometime before the end of August this year but there will not be another Kristoff released during the fiscal year. Or it could be to distinguish the Elsa and Anna from the first two rounds (I don't have my old receipts for them so I don't know what their descriptions say) BUT it most definitely means no other Kristoff doll...until the next fiscal year at least.

Anyway, this was such a diverse release reading the stories from all over the world! The fact that people were camping out since the night before in France and that there was already 40 people lined up in London by 5am had me in such a panic that I was outside my mall by 4:20am and...no one. At 6 I was able to get into the mall with a few other collectors I see all the time, it was just us for about another 40 minutes when one other woman showed up, then another about 15 minutes after her. No one else for over another hour and by the time the mall opened there were still plenty of dolls to go around. While I prefer doll releases to go that way, it also worries me that when head office sees things like that they'll decide to send less dolls of the next release to this particular store because they weren't an instant sell out like they were at MANY other stores. I wonder if they've even sold out by now.... I plan to go back tomorrow to check. My store had 15 of Elsa and Anna and 9 of Kristoff.

Which brings me to a WORD OF WARNING for people buying online tonight. That 15/15/9 of 5000/5000/3500 is FAR MORE than my store would normally get. For the last release of 5k dolls (Pink Aurora) they only took 11 pre-orders. For Prince Phillip (3,500 like Kristoff) they only got 6 (more than enough for poor undesirable Phillip though, heh) BUT the point is that it seems ALL STORES had been sent more allocation of dolls than they would normally get for other releases of the same LE number, most likely because it's a lot harder to deal with angry people in person than over the Internet or even on the phone. More dolls = more to go around = less upset people. This means though, that tonight online, there will most likely be FAR FEWER dolls available to purchase online than in past releases. If you're buying online because you couldn't make it to the stores today or because you don't live close to one be as fast as possible. Look how fast these sold out in Europe...even Kristoff (while Phillip is still available, poor Phillip lolol)! The item numbers are posted so you know what to do. I wish you all luck and that there isn't a repeat of that weird glitch that happened the night of Fawn's release....or worse, a Fix-It Felix crash :(

I am looking to possibly score these off the website tonight and was wondering anyone who had previous experience buying LE dolls before. Do they appear on the front page at midnight or do you have to look somewhere special?

Saw Frozen Fever and Cinderella tonight! I noticed that the Kristoff doll is wearing the outfit he wears in the short. I really do think they are going to release Anna and Elsa in their Frozen Fever outfits at some point this year--- I'm guessing with the DVD/Blu-ray release like everyone says. It just doesn't make sense if they don't. The fact that the Kristoff doll is wearing the same summer outfit he wears in the short makes me certain they won't release another Kristoff if they release Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa.

Are those cute snowgies really created by Elsa's sneeze? I am quite curious.

I don't think that all the stores are getting more of these LE dolls. My store had about 15 Blue Aurora's last fall, and they had about the same amount of Elsa and Anna this go around (don't know about Kristoff). It may just be certain locations, where the demand was more intense, that got more dolls than usual.

Anyhow, I'm off to bed, as I got to get up to go to work in seven hours. Good luck to all online!
