Agreed. There wasn't a moment in the film where an iced-up Anna turned on Kristoff or likewise. If so, surely Elsa and Hans are both villains by that logic. Nope, doesn't make sense. Anna and Kristoff as a stretch as part of the designer couple line. For sure. That makes sense as a throw-back. But not part of this line-up.

The only explanations I have for that mess of a rumor are the following two:

Either this line was specifically NOT labeled as "Heroes VS Villains" because they wanted to include Anna and Kristoff.
Or
Someone mistook Kristoff for Hans. It could make sense that Anna is completely frozen out while Hans is on the same set with her.

Still. I think it's a shame that they called them Designer couples last year, because I could totally see a set with Anna and Elsa in it. Cause in a way, that would be a fairytale set.
 
Okay if someone has pointed this out I'm sorry for repeating it.

But for those "upset" about Anna and Kristoff:


SURE it's definately an odd choice.

HOW EVER this is a continuation of the Disney FAIRYTALE Designers Collection.

It is NOT a new brand.

The first set was Disney Designer Princesses and princess is on all of the merch. Villains was also on all of the merch. These are the same SERIES as the COUPLES.

There's a good Chance Anna and Kristoff were supposed to be apart of the original sets but didn't make it.

I am believing nothing, I will just wait for a Disney announcement ha ha. Not a doll collector but I would try for the pins.
 
I think Anna and Kristoff being in the line is the only reason this is being referred to as the third wave of the Fairytale Designer Collection. I mean, considering that every other rumored set in the line consists of a hero and villain, it really make me think that they shoved Kristoff and Anna into the line just so they could give them the designer couple set that they didn't get to give them during last year's wave. Not adding a Jasmine/Aladdin and Jafar set or a Belle and Gaston set really seems like a major missed opportunity too.

We haven't even gotten official pictures yet, and people are already starting to stress out lol. I am sure that some more pictures will get leaked or Disney will make an official announcement of some kind soon. Plus, doesn't Radio Disney Club usually leak some info early? No need to panic just yet. On a happier note, what color scheme do you guys think each of the dolls boxes will have? I think Snow White and the Hag might be blue or yellow, and I think Pan and Hook will be green.

Agreed- I was initially excited about the Hans and elsa concept, but more for the merchandise prospect than anything else since I probably wouldn't have room for the dolls. But anyhoo, now I'll just wait to see what happens with the line. More than likely I'll like something from it.... but then again the less I like probably the better for my wallet :p
 
Stretching my imagine here but....it might make sense if Anna and Kristoff were part of a different set? Maybe? Like a very special off-off designer fairytale couple set. Dressed up in the wedding outfit supplied by those naughty trolls perhaps?

And the villains/heroes line-up is consequently the four other sets with Elsa/Hans being the d23 exclusive (though, I can imagine there being a normal variant version released in DS stores - they wouldn't hold back 2 characters especially for one single outlet).

Guys, can we please refrain from uploading any more rumors? Let's just wait till Disney officially announces them. :)
 
I'm still not sure I 100% believe the Troll Wedding outfits. One blog said Frozen Anna like when her hair is turned white and others say Troll Wedding. I'll believe when I hear it from Disney. It would be epic though. I've seen OOAK Troll Wedding dolls and thought "wow, I could never make those outfits" If Disney makes them in those outfits, problem solved-as long as I can pounce fast enough to buy them.
 
It sounds so stupid this line! Anna and Kristoff as a set when all the others are Heros and villains. Snow White with a designer hag:s and Elsa the most popular character as a exclusive

But if they make that few when they know that demand is that high, who are they benefiting?

- Scalpers trying to make a huge profit? OR
- Collectors hoping to get ahold of their favorite character?

And they know demand is that high. So to create that few is a way to tell the fans, IMO, "Our stuff is so exclusive you can't even get it. See what the scalpers are selling it for? Don't you want it, or some lesser thing we deign to make in more reasonable quantities, even MORE now?" .... Whereas my reaction to that strategy is to flip the table and say "NO, ACTUALLY! Now that I see how you treat us fans, intentionally putting what we want out of reach, I think I'll find something better to do with my time and money." Because in the end, Disney is not the only company that makes beautiful things, and I don't like feeling that I've been intentionally frustrated.

I know this is just a rumor but if it turns out to be true I will seriously consider voting with my wallet.

Here here! I concur. Disney is being unreasonable if all the rumors are true.
I wish they'd provide official information already so I could prepare myself better for joy/disappointment.
 
Not sure about Radio Disney Club, but the last update to The Buzz was the Inside Out Tsum Tsums announcement. Disney has announced all of the Fairytale Designer stuff on that blog, so if nothing's there yet, I wouldn't count anything as official. Don't start getting your hopes up. We all remember what happened back in March when we thought that the new Frozen dolls were going to be Frozen Fever and how very wrong we all were.
 
I would be kind of excited if they did a designer hag doll. I have always loved the Evil Queen in her hag form and I feel like we never get a lot of merchandise with her as the hag. It is unexpected that they would do her hag form and not her queen form and I want to see how they go about it.
 
From this line I’m only interested in Hans (don´t care for Elsa), about the rest... the Ariel/Ursula one would have been great if it wasn´t for that oiled skin, I am actually scared for the others, usually in these lines the artwork is gorgeous but the dolls are a huge let down.

What are everyones predictions for outfits for the other possible sets? Let say we get:

- peter pan and hook ( im assuming peter will have a similar leaf outfit to tink LE doll, i dont remember seeing him in anything else?)
- snow white & hag
- mother & gothal and rapunzel
- anna & kistoff ( rumours of troll wedding but any other predictions?)

I would LOVE a Belle/Gaston set, especially if it's based on the scene where he makes that disastrous proposal. :D

But I'm completely confused about where the troll wedding rumor is coming from. Has Disney ever made a set based on something they haven't done yet? The only time I ever remember Anna and Kristoff getting married at all is Once Upon a Time, and that very clearly does not fit into the fairytale line.

I believe people are referring to the wedding outfits from the scene where the trolls sing "Fixer Upper" in the movie.

anna & Kristoff SHOULD be the D23 line only.

Hans and Elsa should be in the higher LE line.


Anna and kristoff round out the designer couples, and even if they were a special one off (Match troll outfits? kay. Disney is trolling us anyways with this crap) it seems like they should be the chasers for the main line of someting.

I also don't think Elsa&Hans should be D23 exclusive but Anna & Kristoff. It's weird that with four 'hero VS villain' sets there's one couple set which doesn't fit into this new DFDC line.
