I just about had a heart attack because I was only casually checking tonight (I was reading fanfic when they dropped).

I saw set one first and had it checked out before I realized set two got dropped in the same night, so I had to order twice...LOL.

I am not so sure about the quality of these, though. Screen art on metal?

It looks like they were going for the concept art look, but very few pins printed this way look good, and fewer still maintain that look over time...

I'm so glad you posted this, otherwise I probably (likely) would have missed getting these pins. I still might have missed it, I don't know how quickly these will sell out, even though they're a very high LE. If I get them, great; if not, it won't be the first release I missed and it almost certainly won't be the last.

Previous Designer Pin Set:
$149.95 for 7 Pins (LE 1000)
Around $21+ per Pin

New Designer Pin Set (x2)
$49.90 for 6 Pins (LE 4800)
Around $8+ per Pin

*not including applicable tax and/or shipping charges

I got them all because I can’t justify the 125 for the Cinderella doll, since I think she’s the prettiest of them. Of the six I collect four of the six so, it works out.

Hopefully the pins will surprise us and be lovely. I’m surprised at the high LE though.

I'm wondering if they loaded the full edition initially or not. The last couple months, the monthly Mickey ornament set will "sell out" and then the next week, they load more.

I'm actually super disappointed in these, I think they look cheap. :( They original art for them is really nice, which is why it's such a bummer for me. I would have much rather seen these as hard enamel with special elements (silk screen, glitter, translucent, etc).

Give it a minute. I’m sure there are no less than 5 fantasy pin designers doing just that.

Honestly though. Disney has been making stuff that looks like the stuff Etsy designers are doing so I’m surprised these pins aren’t bigger and more special effectsy, as that’s the driving force with fps right now.

Hahaha, you are probably right! Some of them won't look half bad, either. I just prefer my 'official' designer pins, and would not want fantasy ones in the mix with them.

That is an excellent point though. They could have done some really nice work with these. Maybe they opted to do something less prone to errors because of the high edition size.

1992 definitely is/should be Jasmine. Quality control strikes again, it just amazes me that such shoddy review work is done on stuff like this. Especially for the most recognized part of the franchise, Princesses.
