During Trade Arcade chat, @Randakinskywalker asked for an evaluation about a trade than included a pin set of Kevin & her babies. It was so cute, that got me thinking about adding them as a collection. I somehow end up with random small Pixar collections (Heimlich, Guido & Luigi) despite not really caring for Pixar.

But that prompted my question, if you had none of the limitations, that normally limit what we chase, what is at the top of the list?

I would probably also have a much larger Stitch collection.

Good timing, a buddy of mine actively looks out for Disney Afternoon grails that I have marked on PinandPop and she actually did find 2 framed sets on Ebay.... for about $1500 total. I am now in the market for a very kind benefactor LOL. One day I'll add those sets!! I would buy all of the Disney Afternoon pins that my heart desires - APs, PPs, foreign makers... all of them that I don't have.

Oooh if money/space were no object I'd finally cave and go for several side collections. Obviously I'd go Lady & the Tramp complete, but then I'd also do a huge 'library' themed frame of any book shaped pins, I'd collect Bagheera, Shere Khan, Gargoyles, Padme Amidala, Country Bear Jamboree, The enchanted rose from Beauty & the Beast, and probably a few others that I've told myself 'NO' on very firmly lol Though I suppose part of the joy of collecting is chasing and hunting things down over time. It does hurt to see come pins with $500 price tags, but I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying just buying everything and saying 'done', or would it? 🤣

You people are thinking too small...

If Money / Space was no object, What would you collect?

I would travel back to 1999, moving forward I would start obtaining all the Holy Grails that I wanted then or dream about now.

Pay the price for: Disney Auctions, Featured Artists, stain glass Storybooks, Super Jumbos, Profiles, PODH, Artland, WDI, to name a few.

The overall theming of my collection wouldn't change (the only time my reaction to a pin is 'I don't collect that' is if the sorce material is something I don't care for - & that would be the same) . . . but the quantity & quality certainly would!

I would have dedicated boards to each of my favorite themes instead of a few pins each, & more pins beyond my favorite characters. Lots of Pin Trader Delights, adorbs, Dinsyland Paris pins, & event pins.

Still to small! If money was no object A) buy Disney, B) get more Gummi Bears pins made, & C) get any Fluppy Dogs pins made in the first place!

The Tink DA Expressions set…
They’ve been my grails (well; I only ever thought I’d get two 😂) since I started looking pins up online circa 2009. As an older teen I then almost bought one, but a bit over $150 at the time ended up being more important for rent.

Fast forward to today, there’s a set on eBay for $1000 (++) each 😂😭. Wish I’d bought the one way back when, but money *is* an object and requirement for living 🤣, the expression pins are not.

Love reading these answers!
