They are really cute though!

Monsters University - PNK Britney 11'' Plush and Deluxe Figure Play Set - At DLR

Photo of two Monsters University toys that I purchased in Disneyland (Anaheim) today (Sunday, May 19, 2013). They are based on characters in the Disney/Pixar animated feature Monsters University, to be released on June 11, 2013.

First is the Britney 11'' Plush doll representing a PNK Sorority cheerleader attending Monsters University. She is produced jointly by Disney Theme Parks Merchandise, and the Disney Store. She is not yet available online, and I didn't see her in my Disney Store last week. She looks similar to Carrie Williams, but Britney has magenta hair and faux fur tutu and leg warmers, whereas Carrie's are pink. Britney also has blue skin, while Carrie has magenta skin. Britney has a knit pink sweater, black felt claws, and faux leather hooves. Her outfit is sewn onto her body, as is usual for plush dolls. Unusual for a Disney plush doll is her rooted hair, which is soft to the touch. There is a string around her neck holding her hair close to her head, which I've left alone for now. She has floppy arms and legs, and is a good match for the 11'' posable plastic dolls. I will post more photos of Britney later, when I get the Carrie and Heather dolls. She was $13.95, but will probably be a dollar or two cheaper from the Disney Store.

Second is the Monsters University Deluxe Figure Play Set. It is produced by the Disney Store, and is available in Disney Parks and Disney Stores, and also online. In the photo I have removed the plastic cover, to have a clearer view of the contents. It was $21.95 at Disneyland, but sells for $19.95 at the Disney Store.

Nice toys!! :) Britney its super cute!

I loved seeing even more MU plush when i went to my Disney Store the other day. They had the Britney plush, along with Carrie. Plus, all the Roar Omega Roar members have received the plush treatment, minus Javier Rios, but I'm sure he has a plush and it just wasn't out on the floor yet. I knew we would eventually get Randall and Johnny, but getting the whole frat was a real nice surprise. I have a friend who is a manager at that store and she told me that on May 29th, all the Disney Stores are doing a floor change and all the MU stuff is being moved center-stage, with even more merchandise being released! I'm pumped!

Monsters University - PNK Dolls - Carrie, Heather and Britney

I just got the Carrie Williams and Heather Olson 11'' posable dolls from the Disney Store, and took pictures of them together with the Britney 11'' plush that I bought earlier. First a review, then my photos.
Carrie Williams is the pink one on the left, Heather Olson is the purple one the right of her. They cost $16.95. The dolls are identical except for the colors of their hair, skin, eyes, eyeshadow, tutu and leg warmers. Carrie has pink hair, magenta skin and eyeshadow, gray eyes, red tutu and leg warmers. Heather has purple hair and eyeshadow, green skin, gray-green eyes, violet tutu and leg warmers.

Here's a summary of their unusual features, mostly due to their alien nature. They are unusual not only because of their three eyes and inhuman skin color, but because of their rooted long curvy eyelashes, hooved feet, and claws on their hands. They also have unusual bodies and articulation, which can be best seen when undressed. Each has a very long neck (like a golf tee), very narrow shoulders, a prominent uniboob, very narrow waist, very wide hips, short torso, and long legs that grow wider towards the feet. They have joints in their neck, shoulders, elbows and hips. Their heads rotate 360 degrees, but cannot tilt. Their shoulders and elbows can rotate 360 degrees and bend forward about 90 degrees. Their wide boobs and hips prevent their arms from being placed vertically by their sides, unless they are slightly behind their backs. Their hips rotate 360 degrees, and can bend 90 degrees forward and back.

The plastic in the limbs is smooth but not very rigid, but not quite rubbery, so the plastic at the joint probably actually stretched a bit when I forced it. Their heads and ankles are hollow, the rest of their bodies appear to be solid.

In combing out their tutus (skirts) and leg warmers to make them neater, a bit of fiber came off, but not a great amount. Their hair is soft, and doesn't appear to have any hair product, even in the curly portions. When I tried using a comb to even out their hair in the back, the hair got frizzy and lost its curl, so I stopped doing that and just used my fingers. The eyelashes are soft but resilient, so bouce back to their original shape after being handled.

Britney has light magenta rooted hair, tutu and leg warmers. Her eyes are deep blue, her skin is light blue. She has a much more open mouth than the two posable plastic dolls, with both upper and lower teeth showing, and looks much scarier than the other dolls. Her tutu and leg warmers are very soft fuzzy faux fur, that has shorter and more even fibers than the plastic dolls. Her arms and legs are floppy, with ''joints'' at the shoulders and hips, which enables her to sit up straight without any external support, and hold various poses. Britney cost $13.95, but will probably be a dollar or two cheaper from the Disney Store.

I just got the PNK and ROR pins for a total of $16! They discounted to $5 ea in the cart, what a crazy deal!

ROR pin http://www.disneystore.com/ror-fraternity-pin-monsters-university/mp/1334021/1000211/

Looks like the beanbags are discounted too, I really want the PNK gals, but I don't do plush often. I'd better stick to the fashion dolls.

Edit: Looks like you get a $5 MU pin with any MU purchase, including the pins themselves. There is a whole set of PNK and ROR mini bean bags.

As a side note has anyone found the fashion dolls in their local store? I live in WA and they are not here, though everything else seems to be, don't really want to do online, as shipping takes forever.

The fashion dolls were in my local DS (in the Los Angeles area) a couple of weeks ago. The pins were discounted in the store too with any MU purchase. But I did the D23 15% discount on my total purchase instead, which was a better deal for me since I only got the PNK pin. I got all the PNK plushes. Here's a photo of them together, and another with them compared to their fashion doll counterparts.
