Along with the pure dumb luck of going to the PTN when they do both Pascal and Russell, I got some great pins during the trading.

The entire top row (From BatB to Stitch) is for a friend here who picked up PTD's for me while I was gone. Hope she's happy with all the pins I was able to get! I also got all the OE rack Monster's U pins I could for her too! Nice to have good friends so I wanted to return the favor as best I could.

I also bought TONS of paris rack pins, princesses galore, star wars, Monster's U, Cats & Dogs sets, etc. Can't want to go to Disneyland with my new traders. All I have for trade lately is DSF and WDI stuff so the mid-level pins have been harder to trade for for me.

I also got lucky. I was roaming the hotels on Disneyland Paris property and at the Newport Yacht club hotel they had a Brave Mother's day pin in the box. It was the last one for sale in the entire resort. No backer card but I didn't care. Had to wait 40 minutes for the manager too. But I got it!

The PatF cast refresh pin was sold in the plastic at the event if you bought a 5 Euro drink. We got 2 for 10 Euro's and 2 pins. They do that at each PTN apparently. That's how some of the cast pins are circulated in the plastic still. The drink was like hawaiian punch and cranberry juice, if there was any alcohol in it (as there was supposed to be) it was not noticeable.

There is a trading board throught the PTN. There were sections for DLRP PTN only, LE only, hidden mickey only (small 2 rows,) and rack pins / LR. The French count their lanyard pins as rack/LR and say our Hidden Mickey's are not equal to their lanyard pins. (Even though they are acquired the same way.) Frank was the CM that manned the board. He rejected any scrappers people offered and would often ask for more pins to choose from. Trading was a bit like a US PTN. Some were nice, some were not. Some were new and some were experienced. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The last guy tried to pull one over on me, good riddance to him. He immediately points to all the pins worth over $75 each in my pages and then offers only rack pins and a few junk LE's. Then says "Americans come here with unrealistic expectations" when I deny trading with him. Pfft. Au Revoir Admiral Skidmarked Underpants. He leads his conversation with "I have 33,000 pins, if you won't trade with me I'll just buy it on eBay." Ok dude, good luck finding the pin that has 1 trading, 49 wanting and 0 on eBay in months.

I was surprised at the number of US pins there. There were many traders with DSF pins, new ones too. A few had Star Wars weekend pins. Pascal, DLRPFan? on DPF, had a bagillion pins, hundreds from SWW. Much talk of the Villains event in September at WDW. I heard 10+ people say they plan to go. Villains seemed popular to them.

I can see how a few get many of the PTN pins. There are a lot of newer folks and they take their new PTN's not knowing their value and trade them for a pin they've had their eye on. I guess the unsuspecting people were higher in number than here. Few DLR pins are worth a ton instantly, but at WDI/DSF when a great pin comes out, I feel most know it's value or overhear and don't trade it super easy. At the DLRP PTN's there were many more people willing to trade their new Pascal or Russell for something far less desired.

Paris folks love Jessica, Stitch, Cheshire, Villains, and of course Rapunzel. Those pins were easy to trade for older PTN's or other HTF Paris pins. Even disneyshopping / auctions pins.

I wish I had brought my LE's with me into the park the first day I went. There were a few traders in the park at the end of main st. But I forgot my Le's and only brought lanyard fodder.

What a great haul, Mark! Looks like the trip was well worth it in pins alone. I hope you enjoyed the park and any of Paris you got to see.

fantastic haul Mark. I was expecting to see 20 PTN Russells and Pascals too, though. :)

I got 3 Pascal's and 3 Russells from the store and managed to trade for 1 other Russell. Lanny ran around a pretraded for a bunch extra. I didn't really go crazy. The one Russell I did get was from another California trader there. haha. I probably could have scowered for more but it was odd timing there. I was in the second to the last group to go buy and after I got back people started to pack up. PTN was supposed to be like 6-9 but it was more like trading 2-6, buy PTN pins 6-7, everyone left at 7:30. Which is funny because someone told me they would let us trade all night, unlike the US PTN's. But we were getting shooed out pretty quick before 8pm.

I should add this pic too. This is what I got from my DCL cruise on the Med. I think I got a little bit more than this pic actually. We had another 2 days after I took this so I think I got some more. I completed 2 sets of the DCL mystery set. I also got duplicates of a few of the popcorn pins.

Saw that Donald on the trade boards at the Tiki Event, I figured he must have been a DCL pin. If I saw Mickey/Minnie, I would have grabbed that one.

Ooooh, look at all the pretty PTN pins *drools*. Let me know if any are for trade. I have some Tink and Rapunzel pins on your wants list.

Wowee what a great load of pins! Sounds like you had an amazing time; a PTN & a DCL trip round the Med...

I was only in DLRP last year and I'm so anxious to get back! Enjoy all your new trading opportunities :)

They were for trade. Dumbo and Merida are already gone. I have a Russell left and Lady. Francesco, Barrell, and Rockin' Roller coast were traded to a friend that got me all the PTD's I missed over the month of June (That's a lot!)

I think my secret favorite of the bunch is the WDI Ariel construction pin. I have a few of the other WDI construction pins for hotels and attractions so I think I might try to get the rest.
