Hello everyone! :wavey:

I'm french, love Disney since I got my first Disney-VHS (it was Cinderella ^_^) and I've been collecting pins for 6 years now.

However I have a very small collection, only around 50 pins, sounds really ridiculous I know! :D
It must be love at first sight for a pin to come in my collection and I don't want to become obsessed with pins (but it is hard!)
At the time, since most pins I'm interested with are US pins, I would like to start trading.
Over the past few years, I got used to buy the pins I wanted in Disneyland Paris and that was all. I tried to trade in the park with CM or traders, but somehow I found it difficult for a newcomer to feel welcomed among all the "experimented" traders. Maybe I just met the wrong people...

Anyway, I had no idea how big the pin community is, especially in the US. You guys have awesome pins there! (How I wish to come once to California! )
Two weeks ago, I decided to make the first step and make trade requests via Pinpics (although I have less than 5 pins to trade :D). My first trade is still in progress, it is for a PODM Lion King, I hope it goes well.
I'm mainly interested in my favorite movie, the Lion King (but not in Timon or Pumbaa... just lions !), and princesses (mainly Belle, Ariel and Mulan) but like I said, since it has to be love at first sight, it depends. Unfortunately, a lot of pins I fell in love with happen to be difficult pins to get :D

For now, I will just try to gather more information and advice about trading, I think this forum is a goldmine for it.
I probably won't post much, since my english is far from perfect - it takes me a lot of time to write something - and... I feel a little intimidated :)... but I'm really happy to be a member of this forum and I think I will have a lot of fun here.

Thanks!!

Hi and welcome! I think your english is really good! Im from Sweden so English is not my first language either, but people here seams to be very forgiving and understanding about bad spelling :)

Im planning on going to DLP for the first time ever in may this year. Can't wait!

Thanks a lot !
I hope you'll enjoy your first time in DLP Snoffsan :) Each time i'm there it is like nothing else would exist, I just forget everything!

Welcome to the forums! I agree that your English is really very good, so don't worry too much about that. Enjoy!

Welcome!

Yes, I'm very excited about this first trade! I can't wait for the pin to arrive!
All of you, thank you so much for your warm welcomes :)

I think the pins in France are really well designed, but now that I've discovered Pinpics and seen some pin release posters from the US, I'm just dazzled! :D
Thank you all ! :)
