And it's worth showing off with the rest of my VMK stuff...

I can't really overstate how big VMK was for me in 2005/2006... I would credit it with being very influential on my long-term love for Disney, it gave me a nice Disney fix between my visits to Disneyland in 2005 and 2006, and it let me virtually hang out with my friends from across the USA when we couldn't all get to a Disney park at the same time. It's really too bad that Disney killed the game, even though I understand why. My new pin - the castmember pin no less - is a nice piece to go with my "memento collection" to recall those days when I could stroll around virtual Disneyland :)

Ahhh the lovely virtual world of VMK! I loved it & it totally helped me stay connect with Disney during that time period. Have you heard tho it's back in a new way? ;D I started playing for a little bit & then I stopped cause I was getting addicted to getting real Disney pins ahaha lol. But congrats though on the pin!

I have played the resurrected version, and pop in every now and then for the memories. Unfortunately, since it's not official, it lacks something. It doesn't feel as authentic, or as lively. I'm glad someone saved all that data and has posted it as a museum artifact, and I like to visit it every now and then.

Exactly that's what I thought! Just like you said popping in once & a while & hearing the music & visiting the rooms just brings back soooo many memories. If Disney was behind this (which I highly doubt) I would be playing more often. Like even the "lag" & "rare stuff" in the game that people go crazy over like the green flip hat & stitch hat reminds me of how crazy I used to be back then too. VMK will be forever reminded in Disney history for generations to come. So I'm glad to see you got a cool real VMK pin!! LOL :D

Omg I loved VMK so much as a kid I didn't know what to do with my life when it closed down lol x)
I tried the new VMK but ehh it's not the same :p
I wanna collect VMK pins now lol
