Disney Pins - Photos Pet Peeve

Lol. Lots of good ones here. You already know my beef with the pin world. 1) I can't stand resellers ( the ones that sell at double and triple price the day said pins come out)

2) CKC. I have found it funny over the years. Members come and go but CKC is always around in some form or another. One person even told me that they couldn't help with pins they were already going to get, they told me " I have a reputation to worry about".

Ps. Sorry if I sent pin pics in my hand. I used to be a hand model so I tend to show of my pretty gifts. Lol

Ohhhh I thought of one!!!! This is a semi-common occurrence these days - When a person sends you your tracking number... by taking a picture of the pin they're sending sitting on top of a bubble mailer with the tracking already printed on it.

This bugs me because although you get the tracking number, it's obvious from the photo that the pin has not actually been mailed yet (at the time the photo is taken). If you print postage ahead of time (a great thing to do!), and take a picture of the package in order to send the tracking number, be prepared to ship RIGHT AWAY. (Or be up front about when you plan to ship.)

I have had people do this multiple times and then not actually send the pin until several days later, because they "forgot" or whatever. I'm really patient when it comes to people shipping pins but I cannot STAND IT when someone tells me they're sending my pin at a certain time, and then don't. Things come up, I get it, but if there's a problem, KEEP ME POSTED.

Nothing bugs me more than a tracking number that never updates because my pin is still sitting on your desk or in your car or something.

If you can't ship for a few days, fine, but communicate. Don't say you're shipping that day and then fall off the face of the Internet. It is not my job to remind you to send my pin. Particularly after you've already received the one I sent.

I traded with a person from here one time (a long time ago and haven't seem them on here for quite some time now) and I sent my pin with tracking and saw that they got it after a few days but I still didn't receive their pin that they were sending me. I messaged them several times and they finally replied back saying they would send it out that day so I waited again and got nothing so messaged them again. They finally replied back again and said they couldn't make it to the post office but it would go out that day. I waited again and got nothing so again I messaged them and then she tells me that she has bugs in her bedroom and she couldn't get in their because of that. She said that her pins were in there so she had to wait for her room to be fumigated so she could go in and get them. I finally got the pin after two months and I made sure that it got washed very, very good. Never traded with that person ever again!

My pet peeve is when I am taking pictures of a pin with quite a lot of metal or reflective elements, and in every photo, if I look closely, I see the outline of my head and a phone. Ahhh!

pet peeve - that some traders refuse to give an honest opinion on the condition of the pin they are offering to trade you ...... (i.e. when you ask about something you can see in the photo and whether its a trick of the camera or a real blemish)

Hope you left appropriate feedback!

Avatar - I understand that your situation is different, and what that lady did was definitely not cool, but usually once I sell/trade/gift a pin to someone, what they do with it is their choice. It's not for me to say what you do with your pins. Same with Christmas gifts - if I give someone a gift, what they do with it once it's out of my hands is entirely up to them.

My biggest pic pet peeve is really just the problem of people not knowing how to deal with glare and flashes. I hate getting pics of pins where I can't see half the pin because it's covered glare or flash.

I've seen a few dirty mattress pictures on FB. I always wonder why people don't put some sheets on the mattress before taking a pic.

I have yet to see this, but now I am going to wonder how close every pin I receive has ever been to a dirty mattress.

And yes, why not put some (clean) sheets on it ? I would say my pet peeve is bad backgrounds in general, especially weird patterned rugs or carpet. How hard is it to get a sheet of construction or scrap booking paper for a plain background ? And as an added bonus, a good gray one should help balance out some light.

After collecting for 9 years, I have just joined a couple of the Sell/Trade groups on Facebook. My gripe with many of their photos is that they have 30-50 pins on the same photo. It's almost impossible to make them out. Why not fewer pins per photo and upload a few more photos? And some sellers up load 25 of these crowded photos in the same post. Do they really sell a lot of pins using this method?
There are some sellers that do a great job by having a grid that they used to mount and ID the pins, As I'm getting ready to try selling there, I've been looking for the best ways to display and photograph pins.

OK, you HAVE to post some of those here!!

These aren't the pin pics as I had to delete those since a cat obscures the pin view most times. But these are other Disney merchandise/zaps/whatnot pics I've taken that have been cat-bombed!

Love the cat pics, froggerway. I can't post pics half the time because of a different cat issue - he's busy walking across the keyboard.

My photo pet peeve - when the resolution is so crappy you can't zoom in and inspect the pin.

This! God I hate this so much. Especially when it's a rare pin, so finding other photos is difficult to impossible.

I had to think about it for awhile, but after considering the OP I think it means, "cool kids club."
Lol. You got it. For those not around a few years back. It's kind of a joke about the click that was around back than. It's not really a group anymore. Oh. My new not peg but something to laugh at is the hard core Disney gangs. I come from the bikers world so it's neat to see people wear a 3 piece patch like 1% outlaws. But at Mickeys house. Silly stuff...

Lauren... Glad to see you around. Hope all is well. I still have a pin for you. I have had it in a bag all this time. Sorry I'm such a bad friend that it never got sent. Even though I have it, I have always known it's your pin. Lol. Talk to you soon.
