Have the older 1995 box sets been faked? I purchased the Cinderella pins (out of the box) and they don't have the logo on them, just the old waffle back. Seller said they were prototypes, but I don't know much about that?

1995 Cinderella Dreams Do Come True pin set.

I couldn't find it on PinPics or Pin and Pop. There are similar pins, but not this exact pin.

Possibly this pin set

PP39996

pin39996

and this

pin39993

PP39993

So, I can't actually see the pictures that @momin.ator posted in post #7 & 8.

Also, since @boleyj hasn't been a member for 10 days and have 30 posts, there may not be a way for the new member to post images here, other than linking through an outside source like Imgur or Flickr.

Even if the pins were prototypes (AP or PP and which wouldn’t be marked as such in the mid nineties), wouldn’t they still need to have been backstamped with the country of origin, in this case Taiwan? I don’t know, but I would be skeptical 🤨.

That's what I was wondering, but I've heard that maybe they don't have to be? I guess I don't know how heavily pins from 1995 are faked? These are very comparable to the original with the stamp on the back and don't "feel" like fakes so I'm really confused on this one!

Boleyj - it is my understanding that anything made outside of USA has to be marked. Error? 🤷🏼‍♀️. Sorry I can’t give you a more definitive answer.
BTW - the pins from those commemorative tin sets are lighter weight and thinner than later Disney pins.

Back of actual pin from Ebay. I hope it is ok to post this.
Thanks! Yea, I have the real pin, it's just that these pin backs don't have a stamp, so wasn't sure if they may be a PP or AP? I'm not as known about the older pins with that since they weren't marked.
