Maybe I should have started 2 threads, but i do not want to crowd the forum.

First question is about pin 81937

Was this pin released during the expo or earlier? On Ebay it shows as Expo but pinpics shows release date as January.

Second question is about pin 2246

What do you think is the value of this pin? It came to me in a lot and it seems to be somewhat rare, so I wanted to have an idea.

Thanks for any help :)

No, Pin 81937 wasn't released at the Expo. I bought one on Thursday at the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney.

Hi Selen,

I have pin 2246, and it came with a figurine that was limited to 5000 pieces. The rare thing I see is that the figurine was the very first limited edition that the WDCC released. And it sold out quickly. At that time, the people collecting the figurines were not really interested in pins, so it is possible they all just left this pin inside the box the figurine came in, which is why you do not see it often. Yet, I have found that there is not much of a demand for the WDCC pins. This pin would be valuable though to members who have been collecting these pins and missed out on that one. Hope this helps some.

Thanks Maria, it definitely helps to know about the original count of the pin as it is listed different in Pinpics. Pinpics shows it as LE600 with only 4 people trading, so I was having my hopes up, lol!
You are right about WDCC pins being low in demand. The only WDCC pin that I have seen with some demand is 4166 (Belle - great wide), the rest are not so much cared for I think.

Hi Selen,

I just looked at my empty box with the pin of this figurine in it and it says LE 600 there too, I guess it was only given out to the first 600 people. I remember there was something that required us to hurry to get it, and I guess it was for the pin? Gosh, it was 13 years ago. But I found it on ebay. I will PM you now with the source. There is only one on ebay, so it is not so easy to find.

My husband and I were just remembering the days when they had small promotions in shops where you would get the pins only if you were the first of so many. So even though the figurine is an edition size of 5000, there were only 600 pins given out.

You see, the confusion lies in the fact that this figurine was something you got a voucher for, and not your regular yearly piece that comes with the membership, which always included a pin of the piece you were getting. This piece was optional, and those pieces had promotions that went with them. So your pin is an LE 600. Pinpics should not say it came with the piece, because not all of the pieces had the pin in them.

To top it off, some of the stores that held these promotional events for Disney, kept the pins for themselves and later sold them. We actually witnessed several doing that, meaning less pins went with the pieces than one thinks. Hope this makes some sense, because I finally got it right.
