2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
Yeah, they are really bad. It's pretty disgusting. She wants them, but not that badly. I told her to at least wait until people started receiving the online orders, in the hopes that they might go down as more show up on the market. :\

I think you hit exactly on what's going to happen. At some point the dolls will flood Ebay. There are likely a couple of hundred available from resellers. Early this morning there were less than 10 listings and now there around 30 listed. Fast sell out usually spike for a couple of days then drop back down. I still think she'll sell for around $300, but $400-$600. The worst part is that the resellers are watching and will be going after Rapunzel even stronger!

Thanks! I checked out USPS and it's similar to DisneyStore (for a 17" doll at least, as far as I could guesstimate myself) If I manage to get my hands on an Ariel and Eric set I might just get them sent home rather than here... I wont see them for 10 months but I don't think I can manage taking 3 suitcases of merchandise home with me!! Especially if LE 17" Elsa is to be released.... those girls are HUGE! and I already have an Ariel to take with me!!

Sorry for the slight off-topic! I'm getting worried about Ariel and Eric, why'd they leave them till last!!

Sorry, I meant going after Ariel even stronger...I was up way too late last night!

I expect them to eventually be higher than the first designer dolls because they are more expensive to begin with, but I think these are just "panic" prices right now.

The Disney store marketers are geniuses. Imagine if we were all sitting around and waiting for Snow White, but nobody was super excited about her. They wouldn't want the last doll of a series sitting around for 2-3 weeks while they prepare for Christmas craziness. It makes way more sense to build expectations and let the word spread for the big grand finale. It makes the less popular dolls sell faster because people are hopeful of getting the whole set. If Ariel was first and some collectors hadn't gotten her, they might pass on the less popular dolls because they couldn't have the set. If you reverse it, then lots of people bought snow and the other dolls even though they may end up without Ariel. This way the scalpers and collectors are all sure to come out in force and Disney can clear the dolls out in a couple of days. They did it wrong last year. They should have saved Maleficent for last to increase desire. This is just my two cents, maybe I'm crazy. I also do agree that it sucks that we have to fight for her!

Btw the doubt is killing me. Could someone who already has Designer Belle & Beast with you, can you tell us, is Belle wearing heels? I know this might sound irrelevant for most of you, but since I'm a deboxer, I haven't been that happy to find out that most of the Fairytale Designer dolls have flats . I mean, at some point it's understandable for Snow White and Rapunzel to wear flats, and well Jasmine shoes were good. But it will be unacceptable for me if Belle has flats! The Belle doll needs to be wearing heels! lol, sorry if I sound crazy about this sort of things, but I really love these kind of details on the dolls .

Hahaha! So, I honestly didn't care if I did or didn't get the BatB set and thought "Well, if they are still available after I get home from work, then I'll go a head and buy them". I got home to see they were sold out...now I think I kind of want them simply because I can't have them. I mean, it's probably a really go thing that I didn't buy them, but still. Eh, oh well. I'll just creeper everyone's pictures.

Although I also really prefer high heels on most of the princess dolls, especially Designer dolls, but in the film, Belle actually has flats on with her ballgown. You get the best view of them when she and the Beast are walking down the grand staircase and she takes each step with her feet turned out. That said, I think this collection will see all of the ladies in flats.

Does anyone know how long it took belle to sell out online? I didn't get a doll at the raffle so I had to order online. I placed my order at 3:09eastern so I know my order is okay. But I want to have an idea of how quickly Ariel and Eric will sell out. I'm going with 4 friends to the raffle to increase my chance for ariel and Eric because I want to be able to look at the doll before buying them.

Wow, eBayers are going bananas. I made the same mistake in 2011 for Rapunzel....I bought her the same day of the store release as I was too far back in line at the Disney Store....so I drove home and bought her the same day online. Paid 200 bucks for her and I have never seen her rise above that price. Don't do it people! Belle will come down in price. Think about it...2011 Belle is on eBay....the 2013 Belle will be available online for many years. Today is the worst buying day.

Yeah, people paying over $400.00 for this doll is insane!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure if eBay or anything like it wasn't around, these dolls wouldn't even sell out......I did find it rather odd how many older men were at the store yesterday.......now I know why:/ I would say out of the 22 BATB dolls most of the names called were older men

I think the doll sold out sometime in the morning. I know she was sold out when I woke up today around 1 (today is my day off from work).

Prices will certainly go down - especially after Christmas. In my experience with the original set, the best time is around Feb-March. I would say it is not worth it AT ALL to try for one of the earlier DFDC's until Christmas is past. Don't give into the fervor people! Just focus on getting any upcoming dolls at retail and go for the aftermarket dolls once the season has passed. I occasionally sell my dolls if I get tired of them, or want different ones, on eBay and this is the time you can sell just about anything for more $$ than any other time of year.

Earliest mention on here was 5:40am est. Someone on Disney Limited Ed Dolls on FB called it around same time. She seems to have lasted a little over 2.5 hours.

Glad I waited up until 3 am because I initially dabbled with the idea of getting up at 6 am. If I had done that, I would have missed out on her.

I managed to get Belle at 4AM. Can someone tell me how long it usually takes TDS to ship them? I am so anxious to get them!

The US DS.com typically takes a couple of business days to ship out items (Mon-Fri). For the DFDC Belle and Beast, we may start to see shipping notices in the next day or two... maybe as late as early next week. It all depends on how many orders that they have to process, and with the LE Ursula and LE Prince Eric orders from Tuesday morning and the DFDC Belle and Beast dolls this morning, there may be quite a bit of backlogged orders in queue.

Hi guys!

Ok sooo I had another person back out of buying Rapunzel and Flynn so I have that set available as well. Send me a PM if you would like that set. It is retail plus shipping ^^

Not the same face mould to me. I'm just looking at mine and then looking at the online pic though. It's close, but I think they are different. Mouth looks a tiny bit smaller in the fairytale, eyes look a bit more rounded and maybe even wideset in the original designer.

Yay! for living in CA. I "just" had to stay up to about 12:30 and got both Eric and Ursula.

A friend here (hiya MAP) seems to be getting me hooked on it. Bad friend !
