2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
thanks for the into guys. And does that mean only a few lucky people will get the dolls ? Man idk if I can get the time for off from work for this. Bummer
Hi doll, are you referring to the Lakeside DS?First of all, awesome!! We live near each other! Second, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we are not getting the Designer Couples dolls. And the Great Lakes DS is an outlet and does not carry LE merchandise So, for the third year in a row, we are being denied the collection. They are however getting the mugs and stuff, so far no lithos though!
I was originally planning to have my two younger siblings go with my mom and I to increase my chances of getting the Rapunzel set, but now the only one eligible for the raffle would be my mom (seeing as I have class at exactly noon). Ah well, we'll see how this all plays out. While I'd love to have the Rapunzel set due to sentimentality reasons and simply because I like it, I won't die without it. Still, fingers crossed and praying hard! XD
The closest one to me is an hour away and is literally next to WDW, so there is no doubt in my mind that it will be filled to the brim with collectors and scalpers... Not that I could go anyways, since they decide to stick it right in the middle of classes, and I have no one to go for me. Is this how Cinderella felt?
"Oh, well. What's a limited edition doll release? After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull, and-and-and boring, and-and completely... Completely wonderful..."
I don't think anyone who was present for that can ever forget, ugh. I don't think there's ever been another day where I have felt such little faith for humanity as that day. It's one thing when people are just jerks, but when a bunch of grown adults act like animals and children over collectible dolls? Ugh. I am not looking forward to these releases. I'm really hoping the raffles go well - I've got my money set aside and ready to go for Snow White next week.
Yup , no pins for me..... To be honest I'm kinda turned off , I don't even want the mugs at this point, I mean it was literally the first thing I ordered as soon as It popped up. All my cc info was saved and all I had to do what submit the order, I don't see how I could have humanely moved any faster in this ordering process. Just why even put it up at all?
I feel the same way!!! Totally turned off and I don't care about the lithographs anymore......I just really don't understand ow this stuff happens time and time again! And the CM's that answer the phones aren't the brightest colors in the crayon box:/ UGH.....I need to try and go to sleep but I'm so annoyed, it's keeping me upYup , no pins for me..... It was horrible. So much nastiness in one place, over what is essentially plastic and fabric.
At my store, people got into screaming matches, curse words were flying (no matter all the small children around), people (including my mother) almost got knocked down due to the mess that was the mall doors opening and the wrong one opening first, etc. It was so bad, they had armed security there for the first Villains release, just in case it was that nuts again. Thankfully it was perfectly calm that day, other than one man who got a little angry that he couldn't buy two.
On Dollmaggedon in-store day, when we left, we went to a Hallmark store where my mom bought me the Kermit Jim Shore piece (Rainbow Connection) to cheer me up. That is really special to me to this day.
Oh, I'm sorry! I hope your mom can get it for you. If not, that you can get it on the website.
That was how it was last year too, the minimum age of 18 to purchase. It was implemented because so many people brought their kiddos with them to hoard the Designer Princesses for resale purposes.
Ohhh, yes. I had someone be kind enough to film me on their phone saying I was ruining the dreams of children by cutting in line when I had done no such thing. My mom was with me and got called a gorilla - really I'm lucky that's all that either of us were called. I didn't have any consolation for it that day, but thankfully at the online release I was able to get 4/5 - so that worked out for me at least. Never, ever going to forget that day, ugh.
