2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II
Thanks Polaris and Shivatopia! I appreciate your feedback. That's why I didn't want to take any action or leave a review before I knew if anyone had any similar issues and got perspectives from some other collectors. It was just so messy and sloppy and different from the other side of the crown that I noticed it right away and I didn't know what to think. Still not happy with the condition of it but it does make me feel better to know the doll probably wasn't altered.

I'm pretty detail-oriented (as you can probably tell, right? LOL) and I would have pointed that out in a listing myself as it is glaringly obvious to me, but I do realize that something like that might not faze other people.

Shivatopia, I see what you are saying about the Elsa doll. Mine doesn't have any gems at all in the center of her belly and there is a visible circle of glue but no gem on one side in the front. If I can find similar rhinestones I may attempt to fix it. I actually gave the seller the benefit of the doubt in that case too as I realized at the time it could be a factory problem (now I'm sure it is after hearing everyone's stories) and gave her a positive review for other reasons. With the EQ I probably won't leave a review at all.

I think also, when I am buying something on eBay and the price is so inflated, I tend to be more sensitive to flaws/damage.

Just recieved my designer Tinker bell! I absolutely love her, I used to have a lot of designers but sold many off & just concentrate on the LE dolls instead as they are more detailed IMO but Tinkerbell easily fits in with my other LE dolls as she is so detailed. I think she's one of the nicest designer dolls done!

Hi!

I am sorry that you are having eBay troubles! Thought I should share though, after you posted this, I went and looked at my evil queen too, the gems are not all perfectly centered and there is white glue on it as well. It was something that I hadn't noticed at all, until you had mentioned your issue. I also ordered mine directly from disney. Hopefully that's a little comforting!

Totally off topic, but I just noticed that I love your wallpaper, Matthewlondon  It fits Tinkerbell nicely as well.

I received my Tinker Bell yesterday (#2413). She arrived in perfect condition and is beautiful!

I really like her "glowing" skin and think it fits her nicely...considering she is a fairy. I love her outfit and think it is the perfect combination of classic Tinker Bell, Disney Fairies franchise Tinker Bell, and a Designer inspiration. I also really like the pose she is in...I don't de-box or re-position my dolls so I am really happy when they put the dolls in a nice-looking position.

My ONLY two critiques (which I have slight issues with every Designer doll except for Ariel...I wouldn't change her a bit) is I wish the leaf in her hair wasn't plastic and looked more like the petals of her skirt, and possibly embellished with some rhinestones or something. And I wish the white "puffs" on her shoes were fuzzy or cotton-ball-esque. But I can understand why they went with plastic as it holds up better, especially for de-boxers.

She really is a well-executed doll and I am super happy they finally made a Tink for the Designer line! Hopefully this will be the beginning of more "random" Designer releases over the next few years. I would love to see what they come up with for a Designer Alice, Wendy, Megara, etc.

Got my Tink!! #1465

I may have to debox her though. I dont like all the open space around her legs. Plus she is sitting on a high shelf and all you can see is right up her skirt. LOL.

And on the cardboard "floor" and back drop there are weird green spots. Look like grease stains almost. Anyone else have that issue?

Mine has those, I think they are supposed to be like petals.

I know, when I first opened my Tinkerbell I thought those were water spots or something! I don't mind it so much on the outside box but I think it looks kind of weird on the inside cardboard.

My Tinkerbell arrived tonight! She's even lovelier in person, I'm glad I was able to get her!

The green spots are on the back, the certificate and the the front so they are on everyone's. I think it's supposed to be like water colour drops to Match the artwork but who knows lol. Normally with designer dolls I have to slightly adjust their poses but hers is absolutely perfect. I love the wings and how they change colour depending on the light.

Couldn't agree more! Her pose is adorable and her wings are my favorite part of the doll. I just love how iridescent they are, it's beautiful :eek2::eek2::eek2:

I couldn't get Tink but im fine with that. I needed to save up money for other merchandise anyways. Plus, the NEW Fairy tale Designer Collection line will probably come out in a few months so I definitely gotta save up for that. Congrats to everyone who got Tink!

I'm dying to get mine! ugh..lol i showed my mom the pictures and she's hinting that she wants it for herself now since she knows I have enough dolls haha!

I thought the same exact thing when I got her and almost had a panic attack, until I began to see they were throughout the cardboard and realized it was part of the decoration. Odd spot to put those marks, they really do look like grease!

Do we know when the new fairy tale designer collection dolls will be out yet? Can't wait to see what Aurora and Cinderella will look like.

No it is too early for any information to be released. The dolls are usually announced around Early August and released from around the end of August to mid October so looks like we still have quite a wait to go.

Oh okay, thanks guys. Guess I didnt really look over it all. I was too happy to open her up.

I know I was like WTH. They are oddly placed so it was hard to see them as part of the design work.
