2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II

Oh would love to see a designer alice or wendy. would defiantly get them if they should ever come out

Aren't these designer dolls already out?

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

No, they are part of the 17" LE line. The designer dolls released so far have been
2011- Princesses, 2012- Villains, 2013- fairytale couples (first half), and the release of the two fairies earlier this month. The rumor is that the second half of the fairytale line will be released this summer. I'm hoping that next year's release will include them!

You know, after getting the Tink and Zarina dolls...I would be really open to getting additions to this collection. Especially Periwinkle (ONLY IF THEY DON'T USE THE CHIPMUNK CHEEKED HEAD MOLD FROM THE DS CLASSIC DOLL!!), Rosetta (hopefully with a more accurate widows peak for once), and Vidia.
I really just love the light "airyness" of these dolls and ESPECIALLY their wings. <3

Haha I love the Periwinkle DS classic doll mold; the character does kind of have chipmunk cheeks, so it's not entirely inaccurate to me. I wouldn't mind a new mold though, as long as they keep her mouth closed. I have all the classic dolls of the other fairy characters, and I think all their molds are lovely and accurate. I especially love Vidia's mold and hope they keep it the same.

I like Classic Periwinkle as well, but it would be nice if she didn't have the slightly goofy expression.

The UK Disney Store has released new Classic Rosetta (Jan 20, 2014 online, in December in stores), that is a very good likeness, and I think better than the previous models. She probably won't be released in the US. Here's an image from the UK DS site:

Zarina Limited Edition Designer Doll - #4 of 4000!

I just received my mail order Zarina Designer Doll today (February 27, 2014). She will be my spare, that I keep boxed. She is #0004 of 4000! That is the lowest edition (serial) number of any of my limited edition dolls. She is posed next to my in store purchased Zarina, who has been completely deboxed and then placed back on her display stand, and who is numbered #0137 of 4000, which is also a pretty low number.

Eeh I liked the old one better. This ones hair is more accurate but her face looks a lot like Tink's but with red lips and hair. I hope they don't start opening all their mouths otherwise I will completely lose interest.

Yay!! They're finally here. Even more beautiful in person than I could have hoped for!
It felt like a lifetime waiting for them and seeing that everyone had gotten theirs. LOL!

Kinda bummed. My designer Tink (along with a Minnie t-shirt and 2 reusable bags) were shipped last Saturday and scheduled to get here yesterday, but tracking said they were put on a "late train" from another city 90 miles away, and are now scheduled to get here on Monday. Oh well, though--at least I'll something to look forward to on Monday, which I can't say most weeks, lol.

Mine too Stinks being on the West Coast sometimes, we get everything last!

I have just noticed that, for some reason, the designer Zarina doll is available to order again on the German disney store website. www.disneystore.de It lets you go to checkout.

Tink is still 'sold out' though.

Disney Store Zarina Dolls and Figures - Group Photo

My collection of Zarina dolls and figures from the Disney Store. She is the title character of the upcoming Disney animated movie The Pirate Fairy. Photographed in daylight.

On the left is 2014 Zarina 10'' Flutter Wing Doll, part of the Disney Fairies Classic Doll Collection, that I purchased from my local Disney Store. She actually stands 10 1/4'' H in her boots. On the right is the Designer Zarina doll, part of the Disney Fairies Designer Collection (which right now consists of only Zarina and Tinker Bell, both released simultaneously). Even though she is listed as 11'' H, she actually stands 11 1/2'' high on the display stand, the same as previous Disney Designer Princess dolls. She also has the same body construction as the original Designer Princess dolls, with ball jointed neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hip joints. She has rubber legs with internal hinge knee jointed knees, and fixed angled feet. She has the same face mold as the Classic Zarina doll and has a very similar look. The biggest difference between them is the shiny, pearly textured skin on her face and body. Her face is shinier than the rest of her body.

Also shown is the 5.5'' Zarina Mini Doll from the Disney Fairies Doll Set - The Pirate Fairy, and the 3.5'' Zarina Figurine from the Disney Fairies Figurine Play Set - The Pirate Fairy.

Designer Tinker Bell vs. Secret of the Wings 3D Blu-Ray Box Cover

My friend Shivatopia noticed that one of my photos of the recently released Designer Tinker Bell 12'' doll strongly resembled the cover art on the Secret of the Wings 3D Blu-Ray/DVD disc set. Here Designer Tinker Bell is posed next to the disc set so we can see how closely the doll matches the cover. In particular the transparent iridescent wings and tightly wound bun of the doll are excellent replicas of the movie character. A magical doll and a magical image from a magical movie.
