2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II

I'm REALLY hoping that Cinderella hoodie stays up.. I'm going to attempt my DS tomorrow in hopes of finding one.

Does the appearal usually hit retail stores?
 
I was banking on getting that for my gf for christmas, crap/

Well, except I used to do the 3 AM ds.com stuff back in the day, and I did know about people being able to figure out the links early. But I'm out of practice, my computer doesn't like DPF chat like it used to like dizpins chat. But now, with everyone on Facebook, I feel like I'm totally out of the groove. Lots more competition. I just hate, hate, HATE having to pay the jacked up prices when I could do it myself. I know, everyone hates it. Blurg.

You should be. The only way to be certain is to get the set in the mail. At least that was the standard operating procedure back in the day. I think part of the reason they sold out so fast is that they may have managed to get the software right so that once the 175 sets available sold out, they stopped taking orders. It used to be that they would continue taking orders and tons of people would get emails saying they did not get the set. I could be wrong and I do not know how we could even test that. It is a just a thought at this point.
 
Not gonna lie that was intense! Better 1 heart attack online than getting 5 heart attacks at the raffles. Well I must call it a night. hope everyone still has an opportunity to get what they wanted. and congrats to those who did get them.
 
I'm disappointed they didn't get the notecards. They've had them every year except this year. I'm debating ordering the Cinderella hoodie, but at the same time I know I'd only wear it around the house. And it's expensive for what it is. I'm all indecisive. I'm donating like 75% of my clothes now because I have so many and I just don't wear them. But Cinderella is my favourite and I was just saying earlier I was kicking myself for not getting the 2012 Cinderella hoodie. Decisions, decisions...

Sounds like they're doing what they did with Aurora, staggering releasing all the sets available until each order comes through and they make sure the first people got theirs, then they throw more up online, let those sell out, rinse repeat. But they will be gone fast, as I doubt more than 500 sets were set aside. These dolls are LE 6000, with 1000 being allotted to Europe and possibly some more being allotted to the Japanese Disney Store site, so NA is looking at maybe 4,500 to sell total? Then you factor in the individual releases with the dolls in actual brick and mortar stores....

The first couple of individual dolls should be very, very easy to get. I don't see it picking up until the third week, but we'll see. Frozen has kind of changed everything, unfortunately (seriously, resellers should understand that these dolls won't make them a quick turn around buck as they're already so pricy to begin with!)
 
I was just able to get the set into my bag again, so if someone didn't get the doll preorder, keep trying.
 
I got the Aurora & Phillip mug and journal! Hopefully I will get the couple at the store >.<

Was able to add the set for pre-order again to the bag so keep trying. This is so tempting even though I only want 2 or 3 out of them but all this craziness have me worried..

Hi again! I didn't get the dolls. Thanks again for all your help. I will try for them individually. I really only want Cinderella, Mulan and Aurora. I will be back! Good night!
 
Twice now it's gone into my bag, but when I click checkout, it's says there's nothing in my bag.

This site hates me...
 
Wow… talk about adrenaline kick.
Seems like people were right, the dolls sold out in less than 5-10 minutes.
I got my order at 00:04 - I just hope that was enough.
I'm exhausted … phew...

Yeah with doll groups on places like Facebook, links tend to go out to more people a lot more than they used to. It makes us have to be more on our game with more people wanting them AND scalpers trying to get them. I'm worried they are the reason the dolls sold out so fast again. At least we can try to get them individually, but I know it really is a lot easier for people who want the whole set to pre-order the whole set when it goes up online. And sadly I don't think they do the pre-orders for the full set in stores .

Just shirts and mugs?
The shirts aren't even that impressive compared to last year's shirts that were more stylized.

The pictures of the sets in their display cases really showcase just how horrible these dolls can look on stock pictures. And I strongly think that Cinderella's box is doing her a disservice because that dress just doesn't look as good in the box. Also, exorcist.

But yeah... I wouldn't be surprised if everything sold out tomorrow cause it doesn't look like Disney made much.

I don't want to deal with this. I just want Cinderella but I'm furious for the people that wanted the whole set. Already. On Ebay. Out of the 175 or so that we got, and a few are on ebay.

I don't want to deal with that crap. I'm turning in for the night.

Oh im sorry . At least you can try to go for them individually. I am still shocked the set sold out as quickly as it did.
 

Yeah, that Cinderella pic has me worried about what the doll will look like in person. You'd think they would have at least gotten her head on right for the stock photo!
 
Man I'm so disappointed about the pins. I really wanted to use them to jumpstart my collection I am only getting the Cinderella doll, do you think she'll be harder to get than the others? I hope not, but she is one of the more popular princesses of this set. Just hope I'm not as unlucky next time around.
