2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II

Dont bother Planes wasnt that good at all, im surprised they even have a sequel for it. It is a straight to dvd sequel but still I didn't think a sequel was warranted for the movie.

Yeah Planes didnt look great (although I have not seen it) but surprised it got a sequel.

Sad they are not pursuing more Tink films. Definitely need get this Designer Tink as it may never happen again. LOL

Planes wasn't that bad IMO, was better than cars 2! And I suppose disney can market planes to little boys. Went to toys r us recently and it was full of planes stuff for kids, so I can see why they would make more. Tbh I think the first two tinkerbell movies are not very good, but I love the most recent two. I still hope they continue with more Tink movies as they get better and better.

With just a bit over a week until the designer fairies dolls are being released just out of curiosity does anyone know if they are doing the regular raffles for these in store? Like they usually do for the designers?

I need to call my stores tomorrow to find out who actually will have them. The closer store to me doesnt usually get them, and the one that does is SOOOOO far away.

Because its only 4000 each and its a two doll set only, I think its first come first serve at the stores. I am staying up very late to order mine online .

I'm hoping to pick mine up at the store. Do people normally get in line for these before store opening? I'm just wondering how early I need to get there.

On the day a doll is released I usually see a handful of die hard collectors waiting in line before the store even opens. Usually it is unnecessary since there are still dolls left for purchase hours or sometimes days after release. After all is said in done I think I'd rather be safe than sorry and just show up early.

Thanks, I'm definitely planning on being there when the store opens! I didn't know if it was necessary to get there hours beforehand or what. I guess I have this idea that there will be a line of people snaking around the block or something!

About the designer fairies dolls -- I find it peculiar that not only are these dolls already up on Ebay but that people have actually purchased there them at DOUBLE the retail cost! Why on earth would you do that when you have every chance to get them the day of release for the retail price?!

Good! I hope they're not that popular --b/c I really just want to get a Tinkerbell. The fact that these don't seem to be that popular makes it even stranger to me that people have already purchased these through Ebay sellers. I guess maybe some people aren't aware they could still get them through Disney.

When I looked at sold listings I was surprised too.
What the... why would people pay around 200 dollars for Tinkerbell - when they could just try to get her themselves for 60 dollars.
I simply don't get it.

I call my store. Asking what the plan as fist come or action. They still had no info yet. What have you all found out what your stores doing. Thanks.

I wonder why they decided to go with 4000 for Tink, I thought in the other designer collections the only ones with 4000 were the princess's who aren't that popular I.e Aurora, Mulan( forgot who else) But surely Tinker-bell is more popular. Do you think I will have any trouble getting her in the Uk if I am up early to order?

Also I hope the 17inch Aurora is limited to 5000 and not lower.

From what I have heard the fairies are going to be first come. I LLLOVEEEEEEEEE it when its first come! the raffles are always a super pain! I didn't get picked for two of the dolls last year and had to get them online. But with first come theres never any kind of competition.

Pocahontas and Tiana was also 4,000. Mulan was actually 6,000. I dunno who decided on the edition sizes for these dolls but I didn't get the reason why Aurora, Tiana and Pocahontas had a lower LE size.

I highly doubt that Aurora will be less than 5,000 just because all other princesses including the less popular ones have been around the 5,000 mark so I dont see why Aurora would not get the same treatment.

Again I dont think Tink will be super popular but then again due to her price it may make her appealing to more people than not, so i do recommend that so long as if you are up and ready right on release then you should be fine.

I look forward aswell to see Elsa and Anna to be one of the team of Fairytale Designer Collection.

Fingers crossed that Aurora is a higher number.

I'm also curious to see how well these dolls will sell. I imagine most of the demand will be from scalpers. I STILL haven't decided if I'm getting them and the release is a few days away. They're pretty, for sure, especially Zarina, but I'm not into the fairies franchise. I think I'll swing by a store on my lunch or after work to see if thye have any left and buy them if I like them in person, but I'm not scrambling to get them, that's for sure.

However, for all the fairies fans, I hope these do well enough for the line to continue.

On another topic in this thread, I loved Planes. That probably has to do with maturity level, though, because it appealed more to kids than adults.

I'm excited that there'll be a sequel!
