Disney Fairytale Designer Collection—Happily ever after meets happily evil in Disney Store’s newest series of the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection being previewed at D23 EXPO. Featuring five sets of Limited Edition pairs, these collector doll sets were designed by Disney Store artists and carefully crafted to capture the beauty and romance of fairytale friends and foes.
Available for the first time at D23 EXPO, guests can pre-purchase the complete set of five Hero/Villain pairs prior to the general public pre-sale beginning online Monday, September 14.
Following the preview at D23 EXPO, the doll sets will be released and available for purchase in stores and online starting September 29, with a new pair released each week. Each set is limited to an edition of 6,000 globally and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This line expands into a collection of apparel, mugs, journals, home décor, and more, available to the general public in stores and online on September 14.



Although this post doesn't specifically mention a pin set, it would make a very nice set!

We all know there will be a pinset and we all know it will sell out to Sorcerer package people before anyone else has a shot. They get to pre-order a set and then they get to shop 1-hr before anyone else so they get 2 sets. Rumor was 1500 sorcerer packages went out, so no chance at those pins.
 
They have upped the edition size every time. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a set that it is le500.
 
What you are saying is wrong. Sorcerer members do NOT get to pre order from Disney Store, Dream Store ONLY. They do have exclusive shopping on Thursday but it is not guaranteed the pin sets will be put out that day and if they are it is likely that not more than 50 or so will be put out and the sets will be spread over the next Expo days. So, if the Sorcerer members get them (and I am one of them)- - it will by far not be all of them. Mostly because, there are only roughly 300 of us, not 1500.

That didn't happen in 2013. The DFDC series 1 couples were sold at D23 with some sold online on the US Disney store site.

If you mean Art of Ariel, my research shows that the Art of Ariel was an announced for release on the UK site first and then surprise released at D23.

No im on about the designer pin boxset that comes with 5 pins in we got the 1st set and the 2nd set was also released these where bothe released in the UK is disneystore.co.uk

I believe the only DFDC set that was released in the UK on the UK Disney Store website is the DFDC 2. which is this one (2014):




DFDC set 1 is this one (2013).



This is a LE250.

EDIT: my pin guru mentioned that 100 of the sets were sold outside of D23, 50 here in the US and 50 in the UK. Although he does have a habit of pulling my chain....

So there's hope that D23 will hold onto some of the new sets for people to purchase online!

Man, I bet the theoretical Sleeping Beauty one would be awesome. Sometimes I wish I had picked a different villian to love, but she's just so wonderfully evil, since I doubt there would be a designer Hades and Meg. Though that would be killer.

I *love* the way you think! That pin would be so undeniably gorgeous. I have my fingers crossed for a Gothel and Rapunzel pin from this set, but I won't hold my breath.
 
I am a Sorcerer Ticket holder this year and was one back in 2013. I was able to purchase two Princess pin sets in 2013.... one on Thursday on our early shopping day, and the other on Friday morning.

Chances are they will be completely sold out before regular guests get a chance to get them.

There are roughly 300 Sorcerer guests again this year from what we've been hearing, not 1500.

We get to pre-order ONLY from the Dream Store, not Disney Store. Early shopping at the Dream Store, Disney Store, and Mickey's of Glendale WDI pop-up shop is on Thursday. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we also get first entry into the Disney Store (at least that was the way it was in 2013).

In 2013 my Sorcerer's ticket cost $1500. In 2015 it cost $2000.

I can see why they upped it this year. Merchandise opportunities are really beyond themselves. Theoretically, you get first access to every single item going out on the floor. Disneystore is really upping its game this year for collectors from what I've understood, Mickey of Glendale had hundreds of items on the floor last year, and the dream store looks like it's killing it with the RSP. You'd have to have a small fortune just to get a lot of this merchandise.

I'm just hoping I somehow snag a Music of Frozen box set from a reseller at near cost...
 

There are a few on ebay for a not-too-bad price (less than $200)

Honestly, I can only afford $150 for the set, and I know it's a long shot, but I only really want two pins out of the set. But thank you for the offer! It's very generous of you!
 
Well, if they don't release a designer set on Thursday, I have a friend that is a sorcerer so I'll know.. And if they don't then we all will know September 14th... Though I want an Elsa and Hans one....
 
Looks like images of the pins have possibly leaked... LE could be quite a bit higher than the other sets.

Well thats another Hans pin I'll probably never be able to get Darn you Elsa fans!

Those are gorgeous pins though! Best of luck to all of the villains collectors fighting against the Princess Enthusiasts! I really hope the Hook and Peter Pan pins stay low for everyone who needs them.
