2015 D23 Expo Disney Store Fairytale Designer collection pin set?
That's one Ariel pin I don't know how to feel about. ..

God I would love to own the Peter and Hook pin. I have never been able to get any of the other designer pins in the past though, so I'm not even gonna entertain that idea lol.

I never have any luck with the pins. Maybe I'll give it a shot this year! I'd really love the Rapunzel/Gothel pin!

Really don't like Ariel's waffle cone tail. Really like all the others though. I think Rapunzel/Gothel is my favourite.
I got the set last year by the skin of my teeth so I'm not holding my breath for this one, but if/when we get it on the EU site I am going to give it my best shot!

Hmmm. Since I pick up Anna and Elsa pins here and there, I'd get one of these if it appeared for a reasonable price. But that's the only one I care for.

So to anyone who has tried to get these Designer pins in the past...is it worth it to try online, and do you always need a link fairy to get them? This would be my first time trying to get a pin set there and I'd like to do it if it's even remotely possible.

Last time, at least one person here did manage it. But you have to get the link quickly, be extremely fast, and lucky.

I just saw this as well. I'm guessing a lot of the after sellers are livid right now.

It's just crazy too when you think the first set of Designer pins from 2011 were LE150 that's a crazy uplift to 1000! some very nice pins though from what I've seen on Instgram

Maybe Disney is tired of dealing with people complaining about the low LE sizes on sets that so many people are after? Sure, it'll get people who want low numbers upset, but as a company you'd probably rather want more people out there happy with actually getting your product.

Yep and this way Disney can make more money. They don't make anything on the secondary market, so they might as well get a larger cut.

Although, even at 1000 it probably won't make them that much more available or prices that much cheaper, in the long run. Maybe they don't go as high, but they'll probably still start at $75 or $100 a piece, and there are certainly other LE1000 pins that go for that. The Sorcerer package, can probably still clear out most of the inventory, and thus control the market. And pins are funny. Why can you pick up many of the WDI Frozen LE200/300 pins for less than the going rate of the Paris LE700 or UK1000 pins? DL LE3000 Diamond prices. But it is a step in the right direction. As much as people love their LE100s, you can't grow a market that way.

I do wonder if Disney is changing its strategy, re. the secondary market, a smidgen. Over at WDW, a merchandise app is coming which will allow people to order most park specific merchandise from their smart device, and have it shipped to your home. Obviously, some stuff won't ever be available (special event, food items, etc) but it's going to eat into the sales of the secondary market for regular merchandise. http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/mymag...k-shopping-experience-with-new-mobile-app.htm
