2020 Pin Event Update

I’m getting nervous I haven’t received a tracking number

 

It sounds like everyone is getting the wrong tracking number anyway. So I wouldn’t worry yet. I have seen SO MANY posts on facebook with people who don’t have tracking or who have the wrong tracking.

 

I received tracking on 19Nov. The email came from "UPS Quantum View". In the body of the email the From is "WDW Guest Shipping-DV". In the email my physical address is listed correctly for Ship To, but when I click on the tracking number/link the package actually attached to this number is out for delivery in Massachusetts (I do not live in MA...)

It is reassuring to know many (all?) have this same experience, so I am not concerned about this oddity (since this appears to be a WDW glitch.) The biggest problem appears to be the signature required on the package. I typically sign for UPS packages remotely but I believe because of the mismatch with the tracking, I am unable to sign off on it remotely. That is a bit frustrating. I hope I can connect with UPS before the package is returned to WDW.

 

Mine says out for delivery (in Virginia). Fingers crossed that they arrive in Louisiana.

 

Either that or fingers crossed you got my tracking and my pins are out for delivery in Virginia! Lol.

 

I haven't gotten one either. I imagine they are sending them in batches, and given all the issues with this first batch, I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to fix those issues before sending out more.

 

Hopefully, this is true. tracking provided to me:
1) I live in New Mexico
2) tracking shows an address in Massachusetts
3) 'my package' out for delivery today near Harrisburg, PA

There is no rhyme or reason to this.

 

Well, my pins did in fact just arrive!!

 

Have any J’s or K’s received pins? I’m an L and I am getting so jealous of everyone! Lol

 

This is so weird.

 

K here. No pins. But I also doubt they are going alphabetically.

 

So far my tracking number has shown:

Being sent to Indiana
Delivered to Georgia
Delivered to New York
Delivered to North Carolina

It's been quite an adventure for this tracking number! XD

I have also received two emails - one when it was first sent and one today saying my package will be delivered tomorrow, and in the email itself it had my correct address.

 

I got my shipping notification mid last week and the projected arrival date is Nov 27. I am hoping that far date is based I'm across the country for ground shipping.

 

I just got a shipping notification. I am near the beginning of the "M's."

It correctly shows my city, but only says a label has been created. So I don't know yet if the issues about locations have been fixed.

So... trying to work out the logic of the illogical:
does UPS drop off the package and then break in to steal it back so they may deliver it yet again only to steal it back so they may deliver it yet again, etc.

Since I am not home to wait with anticipation... right now finding this pretty amusing.

 

Also just got a blast-off email. Who knows if they're just printing the labels and they're not sending out yet.

Got my package yesterday, after tracking saying it was delivered and sign for in a town hundreds of miles away..
Came in a large box, well packaged, with all the correct shipping labels on the outside. Signing was a ring of the doorbell...

Checked the tracking number today and all the information was corrected to the proper delivery location. (me)

The UPS system must have caught the virus...

 

FWIW, just got my email.

 

Adding Delivered to Connecticut to the list. XD But simultaneously it was also in a city close to me this morning for delivery.

 

Just got mine, and I do have a Time Capsule- as soon as I can open it, I will!

 

So exciting!

 

Eh, not as much as you would think! I don't think I realized that that Mickey/Pete pin they were showing was actually the Time Capsule pin for 2021.

Also, Disney did an A+ job packing my box. Everything in a huge box, loose, with almost no packing, time capsule on top. I haven't gotten all the way through, yet (we're eating a late lunch), but hopefully nothing got damaged...

 

I just got off the phone with a local UPS distribution center trying to find out what was up with my package after it's been delivered in Florida (last week), Indiana (today) and claiming it's also on a truck here in Colorado. They were kind enough to do some digging and explain to me what actually happened. It was Disney that actually reused the same tracking numbers over and over and caused this mess. There were actually deliveries in Florida and Indiana with the same tracking number as all 3 were in the system. I haven't received mine yet, but it's supposed to come today.

 

I got my pins today!
