2020 Pin Releases

    Lol in the nicest way possible, I let them know “well thank you for fixing the problem that the shipping department created, but I had to waste 30 minutes of my work day to make this call, just to correct that mistake and it puts me out my time and energy. Is there anything that can be done to at least make this call beneficial to me. The last time this happened I received a free shipping code to make up for it”.

    Usually the customer service rep is just as drained that they just relent.

    And p.s., I am not someone who likes to badger or whine. I try to be super understanding and considerate that they literally have people scream and demand at them all day. However, if Disney is at fault for having such a cruddy shipping department, and I have to waste my time to fix their mistake, they OWE ME :p

    Agreed. Months ago (in June) when I ordered $97 worth of LE pins, I received a little girl's Belle dress with a $29.99 price tag. I called, had to wait on the phone for a while. The rep (who was very nice and friendly) promised me a partial refund on the out of stock pins, to resend of the pins that were in stock, and a shipping code. I received the partial refund and a shipping code. I waited and waited and waited. No pins came. Three weeks later, I sent an email explaining everything again and inquiring about the missing pins. On July 26th, I received this response:

    I wrote back stating that was not the correct response and that I would like my issue forwarded to a supervisor. I calmly spoke of my time and frustration. I suggested that if they couldn't send the pins, please refund the other part of my payment. On August 18th, I received this response:

    Full refund on top of the partial refund. Far above what I was requesting. I sent her a thank you. Sometimes it's worth it to politely press.

    (The shipping label she referred to was for me to send the Belle dress back.)

    My return process has been nothing but bad. I haven't received a refund and they've had my items since early October. They're stating 2-3 weeks on returns, but they didn't even process that my item had been returned a month after it was when I had called about it. I'm a month after they've acknowledged my return, and still no payment processed. I called two weeks ago and they said I was moved to the top of the queue for returns processing. Still nothing. $70 in the void for 3 months after my order and the return were delayed. Moral of the story, you might not get your gift card for a long time.

    I just received my Rey set and wanted to weigh in to let you know I also received a double set.

    I am glad you called. I do think they should have done more for you. Agree with @mybabykelly at least free shipping.

    Yep, I had a set of the Dumbo Ears that came with a broken feather. They had the nerve to send something so fragile in a plastic bag with no padding. Called, they offered a full refund and a shipping code, took a month and a half to get the money back on my card, but they shorted me shipping. Called them back asking why I was shorted shipping, but since it was processed they couldn’t refund me anymore. So they sent me another shipping code to suffice. Lol It’s more about the principal to me. $7 is not a ton of money but they continue to mess up my order and refund and that’s just really bad customer service.

    Of course :) I'm guessing they had ordered enough for DLR and WDW, but with DLR closed, well, massive inventory backlog. So, what better way to get rid of them than selling them online with pins :)

    Honestly all these horror stories have made me just never willing to order from them online anymore :T

    Friend ordered a Wishable, and some pjs. Box came minus Wishable, and the pjs were a different sized top and bottom. They’re sold in sets and should only be one size, and neither was the size she ordered. Customer service said they sold out of the Wishable, and resent her pjs... wrong size AGAIN, this time at least the same size. Then out of nowhere, the sold out Wishable showed up on its own, and finally her third pair of pj’s was the correct size.

    How can this company, which has maintained a web store for YEARS just royally screw up their shipments constantly for well over a year?? How is this not costing them so much wasted money when they’re desperate for profits??

    I'm convinced that they've either completely outsourced their warehouse/shipping departments, or basically have prioritized speed over things like packing merchandise safely. I've noticed a downtick in a lot of different companies when it comes to packing things properly. It's super frustrating, because they've also made it increasingly more difficult to return things (and COVID doesn't help, as far as not wanting to be out at malls and such).

    Yep, totally agree. The customer service rep told me something to this extent, that they are “separate” from the shipping department and understand the frustration because they are on.

    In October I ordered dog pjs that match pjs for me to wear in our holiday card and some other Christmas gifts. The package arrived with the dogs pjs missing. Guest services placed a replacement order on 11/05 and was super nice. ....I’m still waiting for that order to ship. I ordered a bunch of stuff on 11/19 and all of that is already on the way. And I keep messaging them but I can get nothing other than the “your order will ship soon” scripted response.

    So frustrating.

    The thing I don't get about their shipping is the great expense they must go to to ship things. I ordered the MMMA stuff for
    people here and two other things for me. They shipped out in three separate packages that is crazy. Another order of three
    things and once again three separate packages. I guess they can afford it.

    This is something that drives me crazy. I used to work for B&N, and they were super bad at doing it. Like, if you ordered 6 things, you'd get 6 different packages, all sent on the same day, all arriving on the same day.

    I honestly think it's a combo of 2 things. It could be that the items are at different warehouses. But most of the time, I think it's that same speed thing (just get it out ASAP). Either way, I wonder what kind of shipping these companies pay, or if they've worked out the mother of all deals with the carriers.

    I can't possibly image that it's worth it, though, when they could wait the 30 minutes to put it all in one box...

    I think that they are 3rd party pick n pack facilities and the pickers are on incentives by number of picks. Most lines are set up based on the size of the box ie tape dispensers , bare code readers ect. For speed.
    Disney doesn’t purchase the boxes that’s the packing facility responsibility. When the same size box is purchased in the hundred of thousands they wind up costing pennies per box.
    So Disney has this down to a science as to how much as single item weighs and the size. This is all figured into the price of a item. The mouse is in business to make money so nothing is free.

    Reading all these comments just brings home that the site is inconsistent. There can be good experiences, and there can be bad experiences. I've had both. What I've noticed is that when it's a good experience--it's a very good experience like some people here have had--but when it's bad, it's very bad like others noticed. Most other sites are just kind of mediocre good and bad. I've often tried hanging up and getting a different operator--because they don't all say the same things. I don't think it works as well on Disney as other sites I go to. Makes ordering from them a chore I don't look forward to. I used to thnk they'd get it straight some day--no longer believe that.

    Am I the only one bummed that they took many limited releases, including Enchanted Emblems back to the parks only? I live nearby DLR, but fr many reasons I just can't get there. Stuck with e-bay prices for last 3--cuz I really want the full set.
