2025 Pin Discussion & Pin Releases
* Taps the microphone, turns on fancy Moderator coloring* (this is not an actual thing, this was just my plan to distinguish between my Moderator Hat posts and normal posting in threads where it might not be obvious, and that situation just hasn't come up yet. Until now...
You guys may have noticed a bunch of things are going down around Disney Pin Forum these days. @Cicada is working behind the scenes updating forum tools, forum rules, and other stuff that will be announced in due time. Several new members, and hopefully more during this weekend's Pin & Pop Trade Arcade sponsorship The Moderation team talked and agreed to this for like a year, but the "last mile," implementation & announcement, obviously came up short. But with all the new changes, it's time to announce:
Disney Pin Forum (DPF) staff have reviewed rules regarding the posting of internal Disney pin release information, such as WDI / MOG and WDCS Release Flyers. We know this is a sticky subject as this info is a breach of Disney's employee policy, while also clearly posted freely in other places without consequence. Timely information regarding these stores is a gaping hole in DPF's mission to provide high quality, timely information regarding pin releases. We have decided DPF will no longer censor *another* website's content.
Disney Pins Blog (DPB) is a well-established and known Disney pin trading resource, with access to Disney's official monthly park release flyers. These flyers are frequently linked to on DPF, without restraint, and if Disney objects to this type of content being posted, it is between them and DPB. Therefore, links to the Disney Pins Blog posts for WDI and WDCS flyer content will be posted in the Release thread by a *moderator or admin*, when available.
Other DPF members, should continue to follow existing policy of sharing via a written description or photos of pins in hand only. DPF wishes to avoid a "rush to be first to post," or encourage breach of Disney's policies. We hope this represents a compromise so that Disney Pin Forum can provide relevant Disney Pin Trading news, especially for those people who do not use social media and would see these flyers by other means, and respecting Disney employee policy.

I am on my phone in dark mode, which now works on the forum. This means in order for me to read text forced black without changing the background color, I have to highlight it or copy and paste it into a document. If I am the only one using dark mode, it’s my problem and I will deal with it but just thought I would mention the difficulty in case I am not the only one.* Taps the microphone, turns on fancy Moderator coloring* (this is not an actual thing, this was just my plan to distinguish between my Moderator Hat posts and normal posting in threads where it might not be obvious, and that situation just hasn't come up yet. Now it is correct for me with the green text then white text on a black background. Thanks!Hmm. That’s interesting. I didn’t intend to force it black but I didn’t want it to be green and I thought I was just putting it back to default. Let me edit the code to remove color tags. What do you see now?
I turned on "dark mode" as an option as part of the work i'm doing around the forum -- however the theme is not completely ready -- it should force a higher contrast color when in dark mode, but sometimes dark texxt stays dark.I am on my phone in dark mode, which now works on the forum. For reference, this is what I see.

Iphone website not tapatalk app. Most posts are dark background with white text. It was just when the text was forced dark on the dark background that was a problem.I turned on "dark mode" as an option as part of the work i'm doing around the forum -- however the theme is not completely ready -- it should force a higher contrast color when in dark mode, but sometimes dark texxt stays dark.
on desktop, the posts are kept with a white background, which is still not fully "dark (it's a work in progress) -- is your screenshot from Tapatalk?
