I've just acquired this pin for trading purposes. I might be able to locate its card, but definitely no guarantee because I'd have to sift through hundreds! I think it came on a card and not in a plastic bag, but I don't remember. Anyway! I'm really hoping to get one of my holy grails from either Mulan or Tangled for this pin, but will consider offers including pins on my want list. Please let me know if you're seeking this hard-to-get pin!! Thanks! :)

Sorry justharry but you don't have anything I need. Vicki, I'm looking for something like the designer princess Mulan or Rapunzel, PTN Rapunzel, DSF Rapunzel Marquee, etc. Something that's hard to get!
 
This is a very nice pin however a Tangled Marquee or a Desginer Rapunzel? The Tangled Marquee sells for $150 plus on ebay, and the Rapunzel Desginer last sold for $175. The Jack and Sally last sold for $57.77 on ebay and that is pretty much the most it's sold for for the past year. I wish you luck on your hard to find pins, and I do hope that you can trade for a pin you really want but a few of the pins you pointed out that you want are very unrealistic. You never know maybe someone will really want this pin and will over trade. Good luck on your search.

I don't pay attention to Ebay prices. If I wanted to value my pins based on what they sell for on Ebay, then I would just buy and sell there instead of trading. I understand what you're saying, and I sort of feel like you're accusing me of trying to rip someone off when that's not my intention at all! Vicki asked me what my grails are, and I answered her. Even in my first post I said that I was HOPING to get one of my grails, but that I would accept offers from things on my want list. And who says this pin can't help me get one of my grails, even if I do have to add things to it? I appreciate the fact you're trying to 'enlighten' me, but I feel a post like that really should have been a PM instead of posted publicly.

Just stating the facts I had no intention of trading for this pin so why would I PM you. Fact is people trade pins value for value. The only way to really value a pin is ebay. Maybe you should PM her your response and not put it on there publicly if you don't want to hear the facts. Get real! I never said you were ripping anyone off. If they over trade that's their choice, people do sometimes. You clearly stated that you were looking to get the pins you stated. She asked your grails and you responsed with you are looking to get: the above mentioned pins. This is not something you need to PM anyone about, it's just facts.

I am not being rude at all. I can post in the thread you posted it and anyone can add a comment. I was just stating the fact that some of the pins were unrealistic. Not real sure how you value your pins but ebay is a very good judge of pricing and how to trade. Grow up, I was just trying to point out the obvious, maybe your upset someone might really see the posts and see this pin for what it is really worth $57.77, or to someone that really wants it even more that's for them to decide.
 
Telling me to 'Get Real' and 'Grow up' is extremely rude, as is accusing me of trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes by getting them to 'unknowingly' trade. I didn't ask you to come here and tell me how realistic my wants are, and it's completely unnecessary for you to do so. I don't know why you feel the need. Maybe you don't like me, maybe I rub you the wrong way, but whatever the reason is, I've asked you to please leave my thread and this is becoming harassment. Please leave me alone and once again, take your negativity elsewhere.
 
That is a very nice and very cool pin! I have never seen it before! :) I don't collect nightmare but I am sure someone here would love to get their hands on it. Good luck trading it. xoxo.

Actually, Ebay is not the most reliable way to value a pin. Prices fluctuate constantly. Value in pin trading is hard to set. I have seen peeople considering an open edition pin as a holy grail, willing to trade le300's for. Ebay price never entered into that picture. Yes, her grails are very hard to get pins. Some of them are high dollar on ebay. That doesnt mean someone who truely wants this pin, say someone who collects phantom manor or haunted mansion or NBC, might not have a Tangled pin they would be willing to trade for it.

As an occational ebay seller/buyer, and a regular trader who trades US and international I can comfortably say she is not out of line to be hopeful, and she obviously is aware that her grails may or may not be obtainable with this pin. She is not being like a few other people on DPF who refuse to trade anything BUT their grails. I am also not trying to make this situation more complicated or drama filled, or be rude, or lecture.... Lets just get back to trades shall we?

I wish I had something you needed ..I collect Sally/JACK..mostly Sally though....I have a long scar from Cancer that looks like her stitches and my hubby likes that I collecting Sally too

Just a warning here: remember what Thumper said: 'if you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all.'

Yes, while it is *true* that eBay is considered by some as the most 'reliable' way to *price* a pin, this is so because pin prices *fluctuate* so often it's really the only way to keep track of those changes. However, that being said, at the end of the day, a pin's ultimate value is subjective, will vary from person to person, and is worth ONLY what that person is willing to give up - either in pins or $$$ - to acquire it, end of line.

Yes, she does want some extremely difficult and high-dollar pins. But this doesn't mean that the trade can't - or won't - happen. I've known some people to willingly and knowingly make seemingly (remember eye of the beholder) lopsided trades (in the other person's favor) simply because these trades yielded them pins that they believed they otherwise might not get - and they'd rather trade higher/high-end pins they (perhaps) got at cost as traders that appreciated instead of spending out-of-pocket money on a pin that they want for their collection that isn't worth as much as their trader (secondary market wise) but they can't afford to buy outright.

Furthermore, this is Echo's thread; she was asked a question about the pins she is looking for. Since she is looking for them, I'm sure she knows exactly how difficult they are - and what she probably will have to offer in trade to acquire them. After all, she has been trying to trade for them for quite some time, I'm sure. While members are entitled to post comments here, let's stay away from the negativity.
